It's like no other place !! It doesn't smell like other nursing homes and the people are so kind and loving .My mom is there and has been for years and I'm so thankful she is cared for by Cumming Health and Rehab and the best nurses ever !!! Especially Nurse Emma !!! we love you
We have all heard the negatives about this place; however I want to share the positives. These folks were extremely good to my Mom. They answered my calls, my questions and scheduled compassion visits when Mom was near the end of her life. I would highly recommend this facility.
1 Star Service From the Start. Interested in admissions and can't even get them on the phone. They do not return calls. The front deck point blank said "well, Denise is working from home." So what does that mean, NOT working? If this is the type of treatment one gets just trying to get in the door, I would hate to see it once you're inside.
My mom was sent there for Rehab. There is one individual that I feel deserves recognition. Her name is Jessie James. I have been so impressed with her eagerness to help my mom. She is truly the employee that you feel good about leaving your mom with. She is kind...thoughtful...and gentle. I had some concerns in the beginning with a few issues but once they were brought to the facilities attention I saw that my concerns did not fall on deaf ears.
My father was a patient at the facility after an illness that left him very weak and unable to walk. I was so very pleased with the entire staff. I was there everyday with my father and I had the pleasure of meeting everyone from admin to care technicians. Physical therapist's were the absolute best ever!!!! I can't say enough about how wonderful the nurses, care technicians, laundry, dietary, office staff and housekeeping were to my father and myself.I am a home health aide by trade and my father's full time live in caregiver so I know how very difficult but rewarding this line of work can be, this is why I can say, THANK YOU, to everyone that cared for my father during his stay, you all are the best and always made my father and myself feel like family while giving premium care. Thanks to all of you, my father just celebrated his 92ND birthday!
My mother is receiving the best care there. Every therapist and every nurse and staff member are wonderful. They really care about the patients It’s not at all glamourous. But my mothers life will be extended because of the care and compassion she is receiving. Allow me to give a shout out to Wanda, the activity director and her vivacious personality and to the excellent hairdresser, Cathy Jo. They are great.
My mom stayed at Cumming Nursing Center for rehab for a knee replacement. The staff at the Center are top notch. They care about their patients. They want to help their patients feel at home. I was very impressed with Ruhi, the Social Services director, Nannette and Marilyn (both nurses), Gayle and Matt in physical therapy, and many others that gave my mom the upmost care. You will be impressed if your loved one stays here. I highly recommend them.
