These people care more about money than the patients. My wife made an appointment and when we got to the appointment she was denied services for a past bill. The Dr there will not release her for work because she has had 3 strokes and is mentally challenged as well as physically. So I guess if your disabled they dont want to help you. They could have told us when she made appointment that they wouldnt see her, instead of making us drive from moorcroft to sundance. How sad they are.
Quick, professional service for chest pain. I’d go back again if I needed to. Definitely would recommend the ER.Other than being a bit hard to find – for a newcomer, and a bit of a walk down the hallway – not sure where we were going, it was a good experience. My only recommendation would be to have better signage from I-90 through the town to the hospital, as we got a bit lost getting there.
My husband recently had great care at Platte County Memorial in Wheatland. I, as I always do and everyone should, check my medical bills and price the big ticket items CPT codes with other comparable facilities in the state. The woman in the billing office out of Sundance was an absolute nightmare of a person. She would not look up the prices for me over the phone because the prices are listed on line. I said I could understand that, but I've found that there's no easy way to look them up on facility websites. I asked if their codes were in any order or if I could search by code and she said no, you just have to scroll through. Please understand that this woman is quite aware that this is an almost impossible task. She then said "I guess I can look up ONE for you." Obviously attending to people inquiring about costs would be an annoying part of the job, but it is your job and you'll only be getting more calls wanting info as price transparency becomes a bigger issue, which it is. My advice to this woman is to get used to it and do your job.If Crook County's billing department is any reflection of their overall care, it would be wise to keep on driving if you find yourself mid heart attack passing by Sundance.
I got into a wreck about a month ago and had to have an ambulance called from Sundance to take me to Spearfish. I’m glad he took me to Spearfish because if I had to deal with the people at the hospital who act like the people in billing I don’t think I would’ve had good care. If the people in billing represent the hospital, I’m sorry that is who is in front
