Featuring a secure environment, our memory care communities provide the same level of comfort and privacy as a private home.Dining
Our delicious dining experience involves three nutritious restaurant-style meals and several snacks each day. You'll savor delicious and sophisticated dishes like sauteed pork chop, honey mustard glazed chicken thighs and baked haddock. You can also reserve our private dining room for special celebrations with family and friends. Employee Reviews for Brookdale Senior Living in Staunton, Virginia
1 out of 5 stars. Based on 2 reviews
Employees who have worked for Brookdale Senior Living in the Staunton, VA area have had overwhelmingly negative experiences. They report that the management and hiring process need a major overhaul, as many of the people hired do not actually want to take care of the seniors living there. The residents, however, are described as sweet and kind. Staff members are not adequately trained, and gossip and drama run rampant. Management is said to have no leadership skills and would rather jump in the gossip and lie to save their own behinds. Employees have felt disoriented, hated, and incompetent while working there.Employee Reviews for Brookdale Senior Living
3.06 out of 5 stars. Based on 1000 reviews
Employees of Brookdale Senior Living generally have positive things to say about the company. They appreciate the free parking, paid orientation and training hours, and nice residents. However, they have noted that the health insurance is expensive and the deductibles are high. Additionally, CNA's PTO for the first year is nearly nonexistent and the pay deposit system is unusual. There is also a lack of work-life balance, as employees are often called in on days off due to staff shortages. Employees have also reported that management does not advocate for them and that communication is not always good. They have also noted that the pay rate is low and that the facility is often understaffed. Employees have also reported that the security system is an issue and that the training is too automated. Advice to management includes improving communication, fostering staff development, enhancing benefits, and stopping taking credit for work that the front-line workers conduct.Healthcare Nearby

Recently helped friend move to Brookdale Staunton. The staff are very friendly and the building and grounds are very well kept. Looks like it has been renovated in past few years. Our friend really likes her new 1 BR apartment along with the benefits of assisted living. Price seems to be a good value for what you get compared to other facilities in area.
