I visited many residential Senior care homes. When I went to Aunt Dottie's Place in 2015. I loved how it felt like a home. It even had a little dog. My Mother loves little dogs. My mother had dementia and needed assistance. She walked into this house and smiled. She felt like she was in her own home. Aunt Dottie's Place workers are so attentive. They talk to the residents with smiles. This homes engages residents by having crafts, music, and daily conversation. I was informed of any changes with my mother's health or behavior. I have visited Aunt Dottie's Place weekly unannounced. It was always peaceful. I just love Miss Debi Stryker who runs this home. My mother passed away Dec 31, 2020. It was sad, But I know she was loved in this home. I recommend this home to anyone who wants a parent to feel loved and a part of a family.
My mother, who had Alzheimer’s Disease, lived at Aunt Dottie’s Place for a little than 10 months. Debi and all the caregivers there were wonderful to her. Not only were they kind and compassionate, they were consistent. I never felt like I’d “put my mother in a facility,” but instead that my mother had moved to a home, with people who became family. I highly recommend Aunt Dottie’s Place.
My mom came here after leaving rehab. Unfortunately she was not able to live on her own anymore. My mom’s companion found Aunt Dottie’s or knew about the place. From the time I entered Aunt Dottie’s I got the sense of family. This place is amazing. After looking at many places and I looked at many. The thought of putting my mom in a board and care scared me to death. Aunt Dottie’s took the “scarey” out. The place is clean, there is a lot of staff, the food is fresh and homemade, they offer the residents live entertainment. On July 4th they had a BBQ with duet singers performing. Debi the owner, is wonderful. She takes an interest in the residents. She has taken my mom to doctors appointments and even went in with my mom. For me personally this is so helpful since I can’t always be there. There is just so many good things. If you are looking for a place for your mom, this place will take the scarey out.
My mother-in-law was at Aunt Dottie's for 3 years. Unless your loved one has been at another care home you have nothing to compare to. We did have Mom elsewhere and the care, concern, love and attention provided by Debi and her staff are second to none. We were so blessed to find her and have our Mom there. Thank you Debi for all that you and your staff do.
My mother has been at Aunt Dottie's for 3 years. She has Alzheimer's and was in two facilities prior to finding Aunt Dottie's. Debi, the owner, is a very caring and competent caregiver and her staff is so loving and caring to the elderly. Our family is so happy we found this place after two unsuccessful placements. We couldn't be happier with the level of love and care provided in this home.
