My father stayed at Arden House for short term rehab (4 days) and I was less than impressed. PROS: large private room, flat screen tv, great nursing staff and the folks who did physical and occupational therapy were great. CONS: the aides were awful! I don't know what qualifies you to be an aide but I had to stay on these ladies to get anything done. It took 2 days just for them to put soap in his bathroom! I feel sorry for elderly patients who don't have anyone to advocate for them. The lunches and dinners were ok, but the breakfast was cold every day and, despite asking every day, they never bought him coffee. Overall, the place was clean and safe. I was just unsatisfied with the level of service. I'm sure there are other facilities that are much better. I would only use this as a last resort.
Arden House is a wonderful facility. From the admission process, which was very welcoming and simple, to the compassionate care they provide, the excellent nursing and medical services, the rehabilitation staff.... i just can’t say enough. I would highly recommend it for your loved one.
My aunt has been at Arden House since the fall of 2016. Staff treats her like family. My family and I are very grateful of the staff, we fill that staffing should increase during meal times. Overall staff are caring, professionals and very patient. Thank you 4 CD. Management seems to be on top of things, they are available and cortiuos.
The Admissions Department was so friendly,Very informative.Answered all of my questions and then some. The Business office explained in great detail all of the financials.Gave me complete one on one attention,And for that I am very grateful. In a few words, "Good Ole Fashion Customer Service".
I visited my aunt at Arden House in Hamden Connecticut, and was exceptionally pleased by the clean and welcoming environment. The staff were very friendly and accommodating: The residents were happy and seemed well at home. I especially liked the fact that they took great precautions due to Covid-19, and made it possible for the residents to be vaccinated. I would definitely recommend Arden House to anyone looking for longterm care for their loved ones.
This place desrvess a zero and my dad is in the hospital because of them. the CNAs are tired and burnt out by a facility that overburdened them. That is never an excuse to neglect your job or patients. These are their homes they can't help that they live here and have aging needs. My dad couldn't do some things for himself so they just let him sit in silence without services while he had a serious infection. Absolutely not okay I'll be calling APS
The staff and managers at Arden house are very committed. At this time staffing is been stretched, but they give all the have. Most of them view the patients as family and treat them that way. It is a peace of mind to know that your love one is been taken care with love and respect. That there dignity is as important to tha staff as it is to me. Every one plays a role and is essential in the care on my aunt. Thank you and God bless you.
