Departments and Directors
Each department has a director who oversees their department and team members.
- Maintenance & Housekeeping Director oversees housekeepers and maintenance techs.
- Dining Services Director/Head Chef oversees the cooks and servers.
- Wellness Director, who is also a nurse, oversees her nursing team. The nursing team works on the floor from 7am-7pm each day.
- Powerback Rehab Physical Therapy Director oversees his therapists, offering physical, occupational, and speech services full time.
- Care Director oversees his associate care directors and care team who assist with the day-to-day care needs of each resident.
- Life Enrichment Director oversees her team who plan and implement all the activities, events, and outings for the community.
- General Manager and Director of Operations work together to ensure each department is receiving the support and is holding each department to the highest standards of service.
Each director and team member receive training prior to working within the community as well as continued training specific to the task and at times resident to ensure proper completion and effectiveness. Team members are required to have certain certifications in place such as CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers, MAST for alcohol service, Mental Health, and Dementia training, and many more topics of training based on each team member's role within the community. There is also continued training at each all staff meeting which is conducted monthly.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our community is staffed at the front desk from 7am-7pm. The doors are locked outside of those hours. Our community is staffed 24 hours a day with Medication Techs and Care Partners. Our nursing team and Wellness Director are on call 24 hours a day. Every resident has a pendant they wear, and when they need assistance, they press the button on the pendant for our care team to respond. In addition to the staffing and pendant, our community is fully equipped with sprinklers, and an intercom system to announce potential issues and alarms. We maintain a Disaster and Crisis Communication manual which gives direction on what steps to take and who to contact in the event of an emergency. This manual covers many different situations from earthquake to power outages, and much more. This is always available for all in a commonly known area.
Transition Support Services
Our entire team works very closely with each new resident to ensure they are as comfortable as possible during the transition. We take the time to gather very important information from our new residents/family to ensure we are fully prepared for the care we will be providing, but also it prepares us for which events/activities our new resident may enjoy. Also, we like to review who may be a good resident mentor to help our new folks get acclimated. We have a very large team here as well as a great group of residents who all take new residents under their wing to ensure the best transition possible.
Transportation Services
Yes, transportation is included and offered for medical appointments, grocery shopping, etc.
Dining Experience
We offer all day dining from 7am-7pm. We have a special for each meal, but also offer an always available menu to choose from as well. See attached a copy of our always available menu. This changes per season.
Resident Complaints and Issues
Our General Manager, Phil would be a main source of contact for all residents and family members. His cell number is provided to all residents and family members. We also have our Wellness Director, and several Associate Care Directors who are available to assist as well. Finally, should a resident feel their concern is not being addressed, they would have the ombudsman (resident and family advocate) information given to them. We also have this contact information posted in each elevator for all.
Cost of Living
Our rates for studio apartments start at $4,500 per month, one bedroom apartment start at $7,200 per month. Included in the monthly rate is the following: weekly housekeeping, weekly laundry (one load of personal and one load of linen), all meals, all utilities except cable and a landline phone, and Hi-speed wi-fi is included.
Communication with Resident's Families
We have several directors within the team who share updates. Given the nature of the update, this would be a call or an email. Our General Manager, Phil also shares a bi-monthly community update email. I will send you this after he sends to me today so you can see an example.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do offer respite stays here at our community. Normally, the daily rate is based on care and apartment selection and ranges from $250-$450 per day. Currently, we have an end of the year special for respite stays at a daily rate of $300 per day. This rate is all-inclusive and includes the stay in a fully furnished studio, all meals, activities, transportation, utilities, and all care needs. The minimum stay for respite is 30 days. You can extend a month with approval from Phil, our General Manager.
Pet-friendly Community
Yes, we are a pet friendly community and many of our residents have pets. Our Wellness Nurse, Physical Therapy Director and General Manager often bring their furry friends to work for all to enjoy.
Waitlist Information
Currently, we are still newer and have lovely options available. You can also choose to start as a respite to see if this would be a good community for you.
