Additionally, it is within the lowermost 20% regarding the provision of pneumococcal vaccines with an 81.22% rate compared to the state's 89.72%. My mom was transferred here from the hospital. She has only had 1 shower in 3 weeks. She asked daily and they would tell her it’s not her shower day. They didn’t offer a sponge bath. She called me several times crying because she would ask for water or tea and no one responded. When I would call to ask questions they would retaliate. Upon discharge my mom can not walk without a walker and they did not have a walker to send her home with. She also needed a shower chair and a potty to use and no direction was given on how to order one. Please I beg you- Do NOT take your loved one here!Update: My mom passed away shortly after discharge as she should not have been discharged.
I was immediately disappointed and outraged that this facility had the audacity to entice aftercare patients and long term patients to use their fully functioning, caring family of dedicated nurses, CNA 's, and physical and occupational therapists to our Reno, Sparks community. When I arrived I was taken to a room way out of range from the beautiful virtual tour pictures on their website. Then greeted by a girl who plopped down in the chair in front of my bed and began talking profanely about how she has had to run around all day, using the "F" word every 2 seconds. Then I was told my medicine that should have been ordered been there prior to me being wheeled in by medicine services postoperative to having a total ankle replacement. Then come to find out, there was only 1 nurse on the floor for 40 high risk of falls and 2 CNA'S, that while they were trying, it was impossible to give any decent and safe medical care. The food was atrocious and the shower situation a literal health code violation.
Horrible place to send your loved ones. The head nurse Sarah qull promise you that she will help but does not. My poor grandmother has not had her toe nails cut in over a year. I cannot enter the facility due to COVID. She is lucky if she gets 1 weekly shower and a glass of water. They do not answer call lights. Their staff does not care.
