  • Wheat State Manor Description

Wheat State Manor, Inc. has a tremendous heritage of love and caring. Nine churches, two in Whitewater, two in Potwin and five from neighboring communities worked together to make the vision of providing a nursing care home a reality. An article in the Newton Kansas newspaper (1973) quoted the Rev. Alfred H. Bartter, pastor of the Federated Church, as saying: The proposed home is uniting churches and citizens as nothing before has been able to do!

Our story is an illustration of love in action. At Wheat State, we care for the whole person. We value our Christian heritage, serve our residents with love, and provide opportunities for spiritual growth and comfort.
