My mother and father moved in to ware before COVID and the place was amazing. Tons of activities and the food was amazing. We joined my parents for many holidays at the restaurant. But some COVID and even after the country is opening. Ware is still serving discustimg food at super high prices. I have been cooking for them for the past six months because the food they are forced to pay for is I acceptable. Please please do something about this it is not fair for them to literally be robbed of there money . I will be posting something about the poor quality and small portions of food for outrageous prices on social media. Not happy
I'm an Occupational Therapist in a SNF. My sister is a doctor, my sister-in-law is a case/social worker, and my cousin is a RN. We have a loved one there. We obviously ask our family members (who are there daily when Covid-19 isn't a concern) questions that most people wouldn't even know to ask. We are very pleased. Our loved one is very well taken care of and any time that I make the several hour drive to visit, the place is clean, staff are friendly, my loved one is happy, and therapy appears to be doing their job well. Most people don't understand how SNFs and billing work. Thus, you will see poor reviews in things such as billing. Don't take them too seriously.
The staff will walk you through the "glamorous" areas and talk the place up as if they truly care for the residents and employees. In reality it's all about the money. The residents get treated so poorly. If the nurses know that the residents aren't "all there" mentally, they WILL ignore their needs and insult them. They will leave your helpless loved ones sitting in the same spot for a good 6 hours straight and will not help feed them until hours after they've been waiting for their meal. I felt so bad seeing one resident a couple of weeks ago complaining that she didn't feel well and she was going to vomit. She continuously begged them to take her to her room so she could rest but they ignored her. The nurses were to busy sitting around talking about nonwork related topics. It is sickening.
Mistreated my grandmother and has billed us for made up charges. We just received a $300 bill from them that just says it’s for “services”. My grandmother has been dead and buried for a year. What a terrible greedy and dirty place. No worries wonder everyone wants to live at Friends in Kennett!
