1. Continuum of Care
Our community offers the full continuum of care (Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care). We do have waitlists on certain apartments. I can better answer your question once I understand what you are looking for in a community.
2. Our Waltonwood Family
Our Waltonwood family includes an Executive Director, Marketing Managers, Nursing Team (Nurse who oversees our AL/MC community), Med Techs, Caregivers, Culinary Team (cook from scratch), visiting Physicians group, Independent Living Manager, Life Enrichment Managers (Activity Directors), and Environmental Service Manager (Maintenance on site).
3. Safety
Waltonwood At Twelve Oaks is a secured community. We have security cameras both inside and outside of the building. Each resident and guest checks in at the front through our "accushield" system. This allows the community to monitor who is in and out of the community at all times. The staff are all employed through Waltonwood. Background checks and ongoing training modules are all part of the intake process.
4. Unique Independent Living Management
Our community is unique in that we have an Independent Living Manager (Lee). If residing in Independent Living, she helps the residents acclimate to the community.
5. Transportation
Our community offers a bus that takes our residents on group outings and a car to take our residents on individual trips. The specifics on community transportation are included in our Waltonwood Handbook.
6. Dining
Our community has an amazing culinary team! Our food is prepared from scratch. Dining times vary based on community (IL, AL, MC). Each resident is given a menu to order from daily.
7. Open Door Policy
Our company has an "open door" policy. If a resident has a complaint, they can speak directly to the Executive Director. Every Manager is always here to help!
8. Care Conferences
In our Assisted Living and Memory Care, we schedule care conferences with our families to keep everyone updated and on the same page when it comes to their loved one's care. In Independent Living, our Independent Living Manager connects with the residents and offers additional support to their families when needed.
9. Respite Program
Waltonwood does offer a respite program. The minimum stay is 30 days; the max is 90. The cost varies according to the style of apartment. In most cases, residents sign a Twelve Month lease.
10. Pet Friendly
We are a pet-friendly community.
11. Vaccines
We do offer vaccines in our community. The flu clinic is in the fall. I am not sure when we will offer the next COVID clinic.
12. Aging in Place
Our community does age in place. We do have waitlists on certain apartments.
