Villas Of Holly Brook And Reflections - Bradenton Description
In 1539, Hernando De Soto ventured into West Bradenton in search of gold and other precious treasures. In honor of Dr. Joseph Braden, who selflessly offered shelter in his fort-style home to citizens during Indian uprisings, the city was christened with his name. In 1943, Manatee and Bradentown joined forces to create the thriving metropolis we know today. Beachgoers and golfers alike flock to the stunning shores and world-class links, making this a popular destination for both residents and tourists. Myakka River State Park is a wildlife haven, boasting an abundance of creatures and rare feathered friends. Venturing to the nearby Ana Maria Island provides visitors with a chance to witness egrets, manatees, dolphins and an array of other captivating wildlife.Assisted Living

My husband was at Villas of Holly Brook for five months. He was put on Medication to help with his agitation and combativeness. The Nurse told me that he was doing well on the New Medication until one day he became combative. The Nurse phoned me to say she was sending him to the hospital to regulate his Medication andWasn't going to let him return to the home until his med. was regulated. When I arrived at the hospital the Dr. said my husband was severely dehydrated, had a hemoglobin of 4, kidney were suffering and he had to have his appendix removed . Of course, The Dr. said, this man is sick and that was the reason for his behavior. My husband died 13 days later. All the Memory care wanted to do was keep him sedated so they didn't have to deal with him. My husband wore the same clothes with no shower for 5 days and the staff said he refused to shower. I went up and gave him sponge baths and cleaned him up. These are people, not profit centers. These people deserve to maintain their dignity. I don't know what I was paying $4,500.00 a month for. The staff was mediocre at best. Administration were All Hormonal females. I am a true Christian and the home proclaimed to be Faith based???God will get justice for my children. God says to love his people, take care of them and protect them. They did none of that. Am I bitter? No. do I miss my husband? Yes.God will prevail.
