My great aunt was brought to this nursing home after being discharged from the hospital. I and my aunt brought her clothes Friday 10/22 and went to visit her in the afternoon of 10/23. She was still in the hospital gown she had been discharged in and her clothes were not in her room. They took the clothes and said they had to label them but they are still unaccounted for. In addition a family friend brought fudge and that also disappeared the same afternoon that it was delivered. I am horrified at the lack of care and respect that my aunt has been shown.
I gave valley view a one star because I was not able to give a zero my wife went there for rehab after suffering a stroke the staff was so unprofessional and confused about how to provide the proper medical care while being a patient there after nearly a month she passed away I would strongly recommend no one send a love one to this facility if they really love them
If I could give no stars I would. Don't place your loved ones here if they have Dementia. I am an ex employee and I reported abuse and they said that it wasn't. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 19 years and I know abuse when I see it. If your loved one has memory issues DON'T PLACE THEM HERE!
I arrived at Valley View to visit a gentleman 12/16/19 at 4:54 I did not encounter staff at the front lobby or through wandering through many halls on my own, I did see 3 staff around a kitchen cart on a locked hall way but none made eye contact eve though I gestured by waving, trying to get their attention. I found the gentleman knowing he was being supervised by a one on one staff sitting outside his door. There is much more to this visit that I cannot share but I really wish the Ombudsman was the one who made this visit, Unbelievable! The gentleman I visited has a significant tremor so I offered to cut his sandwich’s, he was grateful. The bread was hard, asked him when sandwich’s were deliver and he said about 10 minutes before I arrived. This review is not about food necessarily but the whole picture of lack of care and attention, safety and a lot of other things.. possibly targeting individuals who need help who are not getting it, the respect and dignity all people deserve and the care of the love one’s you place. Makes me sad and angry!
