Happiness abounds at University Place in Abilene, Texas. The friendliness of residents and associates ensures that new residents won’t be new for long. We have several comfortable conversation areas, including three outdoor courtyards, and our residents often gather in the lobby, ready to welcome you home.
University Place offers Independent Senior Living in a family-oriented setting with personalized amenities for residents. Many times, visitors comment about how much our community reminds them of home.
Our residents enjoy chef-prepared, restaurant-style dining that includes an always available menu. And of course, in this west-Texas town, meal choices also feature homestyle entrées with a southern flair.
Residents are encouraged to be as active as possible. Comprehensive programming is available for Independent Living residents based on their level of activity and interests. Day trips and special events are regular items on the Lifestyles calendar. Families find this reassuring and residents tell us it helps make the community a better place to live.
Thursday just wouldn’t be Thursday at University Place without live Bluegrass music in the evening. Residents look forward to different artists performing and some even join in with them. Other types of musical programs are held, but Bluegrass really packs the house!
Being an older residence, University Place—which recently has been redecorated—offers larger apartments than many new communities. Residents appreciate getting more square footage for their dollar.
