My Mom who is in her 80s had a fall & chose Bayview for Rehabilitation after hip surgery at Flagler Hospital. She was at Bayview for 5+ weeks and I visited her the maximum amount of time ( which does have some restrictions due to Covid 30 minutes 4X a week) . I give 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall . The entire staff including Administration , Nursing , CNA , Physical & Occupational Therapists were all super nice , compassionate & informative . The quality of the room was excellent , the food is very good & they are flexible with what you’d like to eat each meal. I read a few of the negative comments posted on here and disagree with them or perhaps it’s people who are the unappreciative type as I have nothing but praise to say . Thank you all at Bayview & I highly recommend for those requiring in patient rehab in the Saint Augustine area . Also the location is beautiful on the River just 2 minutes from the Bridge of Lions .Chris K.
My mother was in Bayview for two months for skilled nursing and rehab after surgery. The care from the CNA‘s and nurses was terrible! They were rude , did not answer the call buttons, they said they’d be back with another CNA to assist with toileting and took 45 minutes to an hour. Shame on you!The physical therapy however was excellent! My mother recently had another surgery and is now in Brooks Bartram Crossing for skilled nursing and rehabilitation and the care there is leaps and bounds above Bayview. I’m not sure if it’s because the pay is better and better qualified people are working there but the CNA‘s are pleasant, responsive to the call buttons and seem to really care about their patients. She hasn’t had much Physical therapy this yet ,but I’m assuming that will be outstanding as well. stay away from Bayview unless you can be with your loved one the majority of the time.
If you are an African American you may not want to choose the Pavillion for the assisted living for your loved one because Teresa will definitely conspire to get rid of them. She called the police and EMT on my brother twice and they refused to take him away and informed me that she does this often with people of color. I had left her numerous of messages to get my brother's belongings and she never returned my calls. She is very unprofessional and she does not exhibit the qualities and traits that is needed for humanity in this stage of their lives
Very clean and neat. It's more like a hotel than a living facility. Staff was very helpful. I led an impromptu holiday sing-along in the lobby in which several residents participated and enjoyed very much. The people who live there seemed to be happy with the place and staff
