My parents ended up here after the Lakes was recommended for their rehab services. I must say the 3 people working in the rehab part were great but when they were no longer in rehab and moved to long term care, things went awfully wrong. My parents (even though my sister and I visited every single day) were abused and neglected. Food was sub par and the residents were even fed burnt food one day. We reported it but they served it anyway. This place barely maintains State guideline minimums and are poorly trained, if at all. I would avoid this place at all costs. Once we figured out what was going on, there was no other place with beds available we could move our parent to. Both my parents passed within 6 days of each other and my family feels like their deaths were premature because of the neglect and abuse of The Lakes at Maumelle. My parents last days were miserable because of the abuse they suffered.

I'm giving 3 stars at this time as I am SO VERY HOPEFUL the new Administrator, Andrea, can turn this place around. Andrea seems to sincerely care and want the facility to be better. I saw her come in on a Sunday for a surprise visit. I appreciate that. Andrea has visited with me multiple times and when she does I feel it will get better with her at the helm. It's so so hard to have a loved one on lock down without being able to visit them. Andrea, if you are reading this, please keep up the good work and continue to make this facility a better place. Our elderly loved ones deserve a nice place where they are kept comfortable and clean. Thank you for caring.
I couldn't help but notice that pretty much all of the most recent five star reviews are from present or past staff members. Perhaps with the recent change in staff and administration we will also see a change in over all care and quality, and see some five star reviews from actual families.
My problem is that we family members are not allowed inside, except just inside the door, and I know we have to protect our loved ones, but I feel these nursing homes are taking advantage of the pandemic. We have to depend upon the staff to care for our loved ones properly without us being there to make sure that they are. We have to depend on our loved ones to tell us whenever something is wrong and not all of our loved ones are capable of informing their families... I just really wish there was more checks and balances for ALL the nursing homes...
The Rehab department has a great setup to help patients meet their goals! Attentive staff in a great atmosphere!
This is a great place to put your loved ones! Very clean, and a great therapy team!
Very lively facility with an excellent group of staff members. I placed my grandmother here for short-term rehab and it has been a wonderful experience. The therapy team is top notch and had my grandmother up and walking days after a surgery. Gaining the ability to walk again has renewed her spirits!
My dad was here and I checked him out due to he would call me and tell me they are lazy. His nails was so long they was cutting him up they was dirty. I’m glad I checked him out of there due to COVID it’s hard to check on our family members.
I had my mom Daisy accepted into this facility unbeknownst to my sisters and I that the staff was very inattentive, did not show immediate concern for patient safety and the kitchen staff provided horrible food when my mom was not on a restricted diet. If we had known that our mother would receive this type of treatment, we as a family, would have never made the decision to go with The Lake for our mother in getting rehab. Do not put someone you love in this facility they are not attentive enough for your loved one. FYI THIS DOES NOT DESERVE ONE STAR FOR A RATING!!!!
I currently work here & I've been here awhile. The administration & staff are 100% in their performance. We have a friendly environment & teamwork. If times are difficult we as a facility will get together and make a better day for you & in house family. WE ARE AWESOME‼️
I have enjoyed working with this team since I've become the Marketing/Admissions Director. They welcomed me with open arms like I was one of the team members when I walked in the door. The staff works well as a team, and takes pride in their job and our residents.
This is an amazing place to work and have family members live the staff is amazing the food is great they make everyone feel like home!
There are a few shining stars here. Rehab team is the only people I can speak highly of, they were all great. After my dad was moved to long term care, the quality of care sunk to the lowest. There was no caring or compassion. No consistency of care. No consistency of Drs orders.I don’t hide behind a fake name, I’m easy to look up. This is the story I need to share.I feel so sorry for the residents there who have no one to advocate for them. They are abused. My mother and father were verbally and physically abused and we were checking on them every day! I drove an hour to see and check on them. My parents passed before we could find them another home where they could be together.Feel free to contact me if you want more info, I’ll be glad to share my experience and hopefully save you the heartache my sister and I went through. They are being reported to the authorities.

When entering The Lakes at Maumelle it’s an instant at home feeling with staff welcoming you with open arms! The Residents are very happy and well taken care of!! The Lakes at Maumelle is definitely a facility I would recommend to my family members for Rehabilitation or Long Term Care Services.
This is by far the best facility I have ever been too! Just walking into the front door gives you this feeling of peace and happiness. All the staff are WONDERFUL! The meals are good and the rooms are clean and tidy! This is the best place for your loved ones!!

The therapy department and staff go over and aboard for all of the patients and really care for each person as an individual and try to make everyone feel like FAMILY!
