This is a marvelous place. We moved our Mom there late last year. It is a beautiful and well keep facility. The lobby, dining areas, and numerous sitting areas are nicely furnished and very clean. It looks newly decorated. The individual rooms are clean and nicely laid out. The hallways are also nicely decorated and wide. The dining is special in that residents can order meals from a number of dishes. which change daily. My Mom loved the food and, since family can dine with the residents, my siblings and I had several meals with Mom and the food was good. The staff is very helpful and always courteous. There are staff that monitor and distribute medications to the residents and ensure they take their meds. The staff coordinates with medical insurances to take over ordering all resident medications which relieved us from having to make sure medications were always ordered. There is a procedure  for residents to check in daily by 9am by pressing a button in the room, and if they don't someone checks on them.  Each resident is given an alert devise to wear around their neck in case they need help. There is a bus that takes residents on motor tours around the area if they sign up to do that. There are other activities available. When my Mom got sick and could not go down for meals the staff would bring her meals in her room. As she became more bedridden the staff checked on her and in her last days when she needed pain and sleeping meds they were there several times a day to administer meds prescribed by hospice. When she fell they came right away and called the hospital to arrange ER help. All the staff was always helpful, kind, and compassionate. If you are looking for a quiet, clean and well run senior living facility, that gives great value for the money, there is no place that we would recommend more highly than Emeritus.

My husband and I have lived at The Chateau Gardnerville for three weeks. I could not imagine a nicer place to live! Not only are the rooms cozy and updated, but the architect took full advantage of the wonderful views of the Sierras. Beautiful views from many rooms. However, I must say that what I am most impressed with is the warm and caring staff. The are so friendly and kind and HAPPY! It’s wonderful to receive greetings (by name) and food service with cheerful smiles. I have never met a nicer, kinder group of people. It is such a pleasure to live here!

My father has been a resident at the Chateau at Gardnerville for more than a year. The facility is clean, modern, and well maintained. Food service is great - nice variety on the menu and the food is high quality! The staff is friendly and truly care for the residents. The medical and caregiver staff are exceptional. We recently had to increase Dad's level of care, and the process was seamless. As he improved, we had a successful transition to a lower level of care. Looking for fun activities? The activity staff puts on a great program for the residents and families. The management team is without peer, and it shows throughout the community. Five stars doesn't come easy, except for the Chateau at Gardnerville. They make it look very easy!

Our "Home away from Home", my father proudly called "Brookdale Gardnerville" his home for 3 years. There are truly no words for the staff, they are kind, attentive, caring, loving to both family and the residents that call Brookdale Gardnerville their home. Thank you Brookdale and your loving and wonderful staff, we love you and will miss you. The Uretsky Family, Shelley, Jay, Rick, Stan and Nick

I worked at Brookdale for about six months, and even though my time there was brief, it was wonderful. The staff is very capable and cares a lot about the residents, and I learned so much working there. This job is absolutely why I got a great job when I decided to move out of state. You learn how to deal with all kinds of situations, and get a lot of experience, and it's clear that everyone who works there is there because they care.
