Monthly and Weekly Training
LPN, CNA, PA – monthly training as per state requirements, weekly training – in person, and extra training in Dementia.
State of the Art Emergency System
We have a state of the art emergency system for fire, generators, staff and nurses on property 24/7, vigil call system, etc.
Community and Referrals
Depending on the needs, we have sources we can refer to. We have a wonderful community and our residents are so very welcoming!
Transportation Services
Transportation is available – we have a full time driver Mon-Wed. Activities utilize the bus and car after those days.
Dining Experience
Dining is within 1 ½ hrs for every meal. Sit down with service. Daily special and a huge alternative menu at no extra cost.
Addressing Concerns
A resident or family usually brings their concern forward and it is addressed by the appropriate department. We have a policy to resolve asap.
Assisted Living Rent
Our rent for assisted living includes everything with the exception of a phone and level of care, if needed. (you can refer to the rate sheet sent)
Wellness Department
Our Wellness Dept. has meetings with families and are always communicating to keep residents and families informed.
Respite Care and Lease Information
We do not have the availability to provide respite care at this time. However, we do not have a long-term lease to sign, therefore our rent is month-to-month.
Pet Policy
Yes, we allow pets 20lbs and under with a $500 non refundable deposit and a $20/mo. fee.

Yes, we have a short waitlist for assisted living.

Our Community
Our community consists of 65 residences for individuals seeking an active lifestyle with personal assistance and security. Rent includes utilities, 3 meals daily prepared by an executive chef and served restaurant-style, weekly housekeeping, weekly laundry with linen changes, transportation to scheduled appointments or parking for your own car, exercise programs, access to our full-time activities program and 24-hour nursing staff. The Blake at Lafayette also has an adjoining community with 40 suites designed to accommodate persons with Alzheimer’s or other memory impairments.

The new Director of Activities has been amazing!
My dad lived at The Blake in the memory care unit for 3 and a half years. The staff cared for him with compassion and respect as his cognitive status declined. The nursing staff and personal assistants were conscientious and professional. Everyone did their best to talk to him positively and re-direct him on rough days, demonstrating kindness and thoughtfulness.
The Blake is a wonderful community and their administrative staff is second to none!

My mom has lived here since The Blake opened. She is living a wonderful life. The staff treats her like family, and she loves everyone. She loves music, great food, and loves to socialize. She is definitely living her best life.
My mother has been a resident since its opening. Impressed with the staff, nurses/aids, maintenance staff, activities, and the chef/servers who provide nourishing meals. Job well done!
Staff & Residents are always happy there. Visited during Taste of Acadian this year, food was amazing!! It’s been a while since I’ve seen such a nice environment to retire. Keep up the good work!!

I work here every Wednesday, coming from a home health agency. Some of the staff that works there normally are RUDE AF to the patients. They have no business working with the elderly. I'm taking names next time!!
