The monthly price includes:

The monthly price is $8950.00. All prices are guaranteed for 12 months all inclusive.
Once someone has depleted their funds we work with the family to secure a Medicaid spot in one of the nearby communities.
Community Fee
We do have a one-time community fee of $3000 which goes to maintaining the apartment and common areas.

Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Our core staff at Terra Vista, a dementia-only community since 2016, undergoes continuous training. Initially, training is online, followed by monthly one-hour mandatory all-staff in-services on various topics, including successful interventions. These sessions are facilitated by Natalie McFarland, RN, BSN, our Executive Director and certified dementia trainer. Additionally, we have professionals providing therapy, podiatry, phlebotomy, and other diagnostics.
Safety and Well-being Measures
All staff members are trained to respond if a resident seems out of character, understanding each individual's dementia presentation and successful interventions. We follow strict protocols for residents who become fall risks or elopement risks.
Transition Support Services
We offer therapy evaluations for residents with specific needs, such as a shuffled gait, shortly after admission to aid their transition into the community.
Transportation Services
Our community provides a bus for chaperoned outings.
Dining Experience
We offer therapeutic, gluten-free, and vegetarian diets. The main meal is served at noon with lighter fare in the evening, accompanied by snacks and beverages throughout the day. Staff dine with residents to monitor for special needs.
Resident Complaints and Issues
We maintain an open door policy and a 24/7 front desk to address any complaints or issues promptly.
Family Communication Policy
Communication with residents' families is facilitated through Caremerge, a platform that allows for email communication with all managers or direct conversations.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer one-month trial stays for residents with dementia at a cost of $9500.
Pet Policy
While we love pets and welcome them for visits, they cannot reside here due to our population's needs.
Vaccination Services
Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations within the community, typically in early fall. We also arrange for pharmacy services to provide booster updates as needed.
Aging in Place
Residents can age in place, with Palliative and Hospice services available when appropriate. As needs change, we do not relocate residents; they stay in their homes with the same caregivers.
On-site Therapy Program
We have an on-site therapy program through Memory Care Corporation, with a team of Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Cognitive therapists trained under Becky Khayum, M.S., CCC-SLP, faculty at the Northwestern Mesulam Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease Center. All therapists are extensively trained on various types of dementia and evidence-based interventions.
Outdoor Secure Garden - The Innerwalk®
Our 18,000 square foot secure garden, the Innerwalk®, allows residents to enjoy the outdoors freely and safely, with family visits encouraged. The building is designed around the Innerwalk® to ensure security. We usually have a few open apartments, with certain views considered prime.
