These Clowns refused my Dad that was diagnosed with Dementia after he had 3 strokes. My dad previously went there for rehabilitation. They tried to get him out fast. When he was nowhere near ready. Apparently he ended up owing 3800. He has Medicaid and Medicare. Not sure where they wanted to bill him. Anyways. Then they said they'd accept him after we set up a payment Plan. They took almost half payment. Then denied care for my father. Unbelievable. So unprofessional. I only gave 1 star because I can't give -stars. Hopefully something like this doesn't happen to their Fathers

AquaWorx Physical Therapy and Fitness is a brilliant non-profit clinic that provides services to mainly the older population; however, people of all ages take advantage of their gym and physical therapist services. There is a therapy pool that contains an operating underwater treadmill that can be raised or lowered, allowing a person to move a sore or injured limb without the usual amount of pain. It is usually around 94 degrees, a perfect temperature to work out in and not be too cold either. There are jets that provide massage therapy as well. The treadmill has different speeds also, allowing the therapists to accommodate to any specific need of a patient, which enhances their healing time. The fitness center features air compressors that can add or subtract weight to the machines, eliminating the strenuous task of getting up from the machine and moving a pin and weights manually. AquaWorx Exercise Specialists provide an initial assessment of what you would like to accomplish and how well you will be able to accomplish it. In addition, setting up workout plans and giving you the means to follow through with those plans. There are many volunteers, interns, and employees who walk around assisting each person individually. Providing reinforcement and re-evaluation. There are also groups and classes you can attend weekly, some of which include balance and yoga. And again, the physical therapists are great at what they do. They always give their client enough of their time to fully understand the problem and figure out a solution. TIPS & TRICKS: * If you are thinking about joining and getting a gym membership, but still want to look into it, schedule a tour! You can meet and talk with the employees as well as current residents. On top of that, the E-Newsletter is available, you can sign up and learn more about the great facility! * Again, this clinic is a non-profit organization, so many donations and volunteers are appreciated. You can go to their website for further information on how you can help!

My sweet mom lived there several months before she passed. What a wonderful caring staff!! They had meetings with my mom and my siblings to understand her needs, what they needed to change or do to be able to give the best course of action to help her and us. When I had to leave her I always felt like she was in the best hands and that she would be cared for in the best possible way. At this point in her life it was hard to see the decline of her body and mind but the staff helped us understand what was happening and how we could help. I could feel the love and respect many of them had for their sweet clients living there, I’m sure it’s extremely hard to watch so many people suffer, they were loving and kind, tried to brighten each last moment we shared with my mom until she passed on. The staff was reverent, caring, sympathetic and showed love and compassion to our family, I will forever be grateful for their care!!

I'm from out of state so I am not able to visit often. The staff seemed helpful and nice, but honestly the place is filthy. The smell of urine and feces permeates the halls. My aunt was laying in the same dirty bed with dirty bedding both days I was there. She looked unkempt and uncared for. It just breaks my heart. I am only a niece, but I wished I could have picked her up and carried her out of that awful place.

Sit in the parking lot some time and watch the patients turn on call lights and then 20 minutes later staff come in and turn off the lights without attending to the patients. Patients sitting in excrement for 4 hours. Frequent patient infections and the overwhelming smell of urine in the facility. Failure to follow hospital discharge orders and then claiming the orders were never received. All of these are reasons why I will no longer be recommending Sunshine Terrace to families.

Me dad just left Sunshine Terrace yesterday. It was impressive to me how each person who interacted with him was truly engaged in his recovery. Even the person who emptied his trash had a kind word and called him by name. The facility is lovely, clean and welcoming and the caregivers are fabulous Thanks to all who helped!

Sunshine has been great! Residents are kept active and busy. The staff gets to know the residents and most seem to enjoy their job. I would encourage families to visit often and communicate with the staff as soon as an issue comes up. It is my experience that if their is a problem the administration is quick to fix it.
