First off let me start by saying this place is extremly expensive for the lack of care and lack of activities these residents receive., also there is not 24/7 nursing, and care provided to the residents are not even CNAs. They have not gone through any kind of training at all . Also management will tell you whatever you want to hear as long as it benefits them . They have been heard talking about staff, residents. And residents family's in a very negative way . This facility is very clicky, they gossip, and is drama filled ! They are ALWAYS short staffed and these residents who pay a ton of money to live there do not receive the proper care . Call lights will be left unanswered for 15 minutes plus . Also they purposely didnt notify family members. Residents or staff when a employee tested positive for COVID 19!!! Oh and did not notify the state ! That by it self speaks volumes! Run from this place its horrible !
I would like to thank everyone who has taken great care of my mother at Sunrise at Hunter Mill. The move in experience was made easy. The staff is friendly and is attentive to her when she needs extra help and knows what's going on. During covid they did everything to protect her with some visiting her more often so she wouldn't feel lonely and isolated. They are available when I need to discuss her medical care. Her meals are prepared according to her dietary restrictions. I highly recommend this facility.Dr Allen Kowarski
My loved one lived out her final days at Sunrise of John's Creek (Georgia). For the unfortunate circumstances of having to deal with a loved one who could no longer care for themselves at home, it was a positive experience. Sunrise employees did an amazing job of helping us take wonderful care of my loved one. She was attended to promptly and properly. Being a medical professional myself, I have horrible images of what can go wrong at long term care facilities. These issues were never a concern at Sunrise. The staff repeatedly displayed how much they cared for my love one. They even gave her the cutest nickname! She loved it! If I find myself with another person in my family needing this type of care, I will send them to Sunrise, Johns Creek.
My mother has been at Sunrise of Hunter Mill for about a month and we are very pleased with the facilities, food and especially the loving care. UPDATE: My mother passed two days ago and I was impressed with the kind and compassionate support of the staff as they worked with Hospice nurses and doctors to keep my mom as comfortable as possible during her transition.
