I'm not sure why anyone would send their loved one anywhere else. My grandpa has severe dementia and the staff at Stone Valley has really treated him exceptionally well, good food, attentive staff, and a nice clean well organized facility.I shopped around at all the different facilities in Reno/Sparks area even looked at Carson City, and Stone Valley was by far the best value of all of them , 1,500-3,000$ a month less than the competition, for some people maybe price isn't a huge factor but getting proper care for your loved one in the North Bay Area (where we lived most of our lives )can cost 8-10,000 a month and for my family that is a lot of money. 3,900$ a month at Stone Valley allowed us to be very comfortable knowing grandpa could afford several years of care with his retirement/savings etc. Stone Valley is a little smallish and my grandpa has a shared apartment but I visit the facility every week and feel very good about where he lives. Stone Valley has a handful of ladies who work there who have really big hearts and treat all the residents like extended family-what a blessing to have wonderful people like that who do a very difficult job and have to watch these poor people struggle physically and mentally......Changing clothes, bathroom visits, feeding, bathing , cleaning up after accidents ........these ladies do an incredible job, I've watched them take care of my grandpa -  bathroom trips changing his diaper, cleaning him up and being very kind and caring throughout the process.....very humbling to witness first hand a stranger handling your loved one  in such a personal way, thank god places like this exist to take the burden of long term care off the families hands. These ladies should be applauded for the loving care they give !!!

I'm concerned about the patients well being seriously. Let's focus on the daytime staff. Why is it that everytimr I've been there to look around they sit behind the counter and are doing nothing but talking and eating every time. So I am Concerned who is it then that cares for the patient ALSO are these employees licensed or certified in caring for the care and treatment for for these patients I think the state should look into this I'm just a concerned individual

My mother has been living in Stone Valley since April 2021. I have nothing but wonderful words to say. Tom Taylor gave me my tour and I was impressed greatly with him and the facility. Tom is wonderful. He answers any questions I have and always is comforting. The Director Tim G. is also wonderful. I cannot say enough about all the staff. Emma, Mandy, Vicky or Stephanie generally great me when I arrive for my visits. The caretakers are fabulous...some to name are Elvia, Maritza, O, Jennifer, Amber, Tess and so many more. Lisa and Cami the Activity ladies are fabulous. Daniel the man that takes care of the facility needs and maintenance does a beautiful job and is so delightful. Brandi, the accountant is very caring. I have not met the kitchen staff but my mother loves their food! Love and Thanks to all at Stone Valley. Sincerely, Shelly Mac.

My beautiful Mom has early onset Alzheimers, and has been a resident at Stone Valley for 15 months now. Our entire family feels so incredibly blessed to have her there, where she is happy, joyful, well cared for and loved. Tom, Tim, Lisa, Emma and the entire care staff are amazing to her, and to us, every time we go there. Without question I would refer a friend or family member to this care home. We honestly couldn't be happier, and are so grateful to have found Stone Valley for our mother we love so much. Seeing her happy has taken a small bit of the pain of Alzheimers away, and allows us to breathe easy knowing she is right where she needs to be. Thank you Stone Valley! We love you all!

My father moved into Stone Valley about a year ago. Stone Valley is a nice and clean facility with a comfortable feel. The whole staff is so wonderful and kind to my father. They are always checking in on him and making sure all his needs are being met. The Activities Director Lisa is amazing and is always doing fun things for the residents to try. I am so grateful that she and the caregivers are there for my dad. I know he is in good hands at Stone Valley.

Just so you know Ani Mal is Carol Novotnik and Maryanne was my mom ♥️ I give Stone Valley the highest marks I could ever give! All the staff and management - Tim and Tom are wonderful and understanding. My mom loved living there. From where we moved her from it was a breath of fresh air. Very comfortable and homey not like an institution at all. I so wish I had found them earlier in her Alzheimer’s disease... but we had her there from Sept to feb 6 when she passed. I wish to thank all the staff and management fir their kind understanding and all their efforts to accommodate our family in this crisis.

Since the management of Stone Valley is new and ongoing, I though a complementary comment regarding Stone Valley and Thomas Taylor in particular is due. Since my wife was recently admitted to Stone Valley as a resident (August 2, 2019), Tom has been most helpful and supportive, both in the original decision to move her there, as well as in the transition period. I am satisfied with this hard decision and the care she is receiving.Thank you Tom Taylor and all of the rest of the Stone Valley team,Toomas Rebane M.D., Ph.D.

I love the caretakers!!! But I moved my Mom to a fancy new home after 2 years at the Emeritus Plumas. The management has NO CONCEPT of what dementia entails. They are very good with residents who are immobile and have no spunk. The management is terrible with peops like my Mom who has serious difficult dementia.
