My brother was a resident here, he passed away a year ago. He has a credit balance on his account that I have been trying to get sent to me (I'm his only family and was paying his bill) for over 2 months. I have talked to the business manager who never got anything done and has since left, I talked to the new business manager who was SUPPOSED to have notified "the office" a month ago but still haven't heard anything!! I've called numerous times and she's either not there or doesn't answer the phone, I leave messages but nobody ever calls back.

This place is not deserving of receiving a patient. Their administrator Rick West never met with me or spoke with me about the issues that were going on,. My mother was there for only 5 days when I had to transfer her to Little Rock to a competent facility. The people at St. Andrews do not care about the patient's needs. They did not know how to get medicines, or get doctor's orders, or do wound care. They have some LPNs that need to be fired. Some of the rudest, most disrespectful and child like people Iv'e seen in quite some time in patient care. And when they get mad at you for complaining with very reasonable stuff, they start doing childish things. I had to move my mother because I was scared they were going to physically harm her, out of spite. My Mom could not rest comfortably because it was a constant battle on very easy to resolve issues. They were taking even over the counter things away from her because they said the mental patients down the hall may come in the room to get it and eat it. When asked why the mental people were not locked up so they could not do that, they didn't have an answer. A very messed up place. I guess if you have no health issues whatsoever and don't need any help but meals brought to you, perhaps you can survive, otherwise, I would go somewhere else. LPN Sylvia is a piece of work, stay away !! Sylvia left my mother to be in pain for 3 1/2 hours as her dressings were wet and very painful when her wounds had been sharp debrided earlier in the day, and she very much needed her dressing changed to be dry. Sylvia made her wait 3 1/2 hours out of spite because we complained. Very unprofessional,, mean and incompetent. I felt like we were in a war zone, no compassion.

The staff is extremely messy, disrespectfu, and they treat their employees who are actually there to do they job and not get into any drama Horribly. The guy in charge is made aware of how people are being treated and does nothing but take the side of the nurses he has in charge that are causing the issues. I imagine a place so messy would affect the people who are supposed to be being taken care of there. If I could give zero stars and still leave a post I would. I hate when people use their place of business or work as a chance to show their bad character and then people in charge choosing to do the wrong thing just because they are in charge and can get away with it.

My grandma got put in this nursing home to go for rehab, as she was there they did not prevent her bed sore from getting worse so now she has a stage 3 bed sore. They did not prevent her from having drop foot so now she has drop foot worse then what she came in with. I asked many times to get a wedge to put on her right side and a pillow on her left and the nurses just looked at me as if i was stupid. I'm a CNA so i know how to prevent things from getting worse. I asked also many times to get better booties for her feet so that her drop foot didn't increase. but again i was looked at as if i was stupid. my grandma is 74 years old she went through a back surgery and then was on her death bed and then people said that there was hope of her walking again... well because we choose St Andrews Place Nursing Home they just did not seem to even consider the fact that she had pneumonia, 2 blockages and many other health conditions while she was there... the administrator was very ignorant and just rude. but i will say there was only about 2 CNA's that i liked and my family was able to get close too. there was only about 1 nurse that we like.. my grandmas ileostomy bad was leaking because they did not have the right size for her. i went to the nurse on duty to tell her about the problem and she told me to let her go fax a number and if the other nurse was not done on the phone by the time she got back then she will take care of it. well we sat there as my grandma feces is leaking on her and shes trying to make sure it did get everywhere it took them over 25 mins to come in and get it cleaned up and taken care of... i understand what it is like to get busy and have nurses that are busy but i know that there is a thing called priorities and this nurse did not have her priorities in line.. we went to the DON (director of nursing) to tell her our problems and what we are going through well we were told that things were to be taken care of and she was to get a wedge and we stressed a lot about the booties. my grandma ended up in the hospital at the very end of her being there and she was told that she had 2 counts of bacteria in her urine and a fungus infection in her urine as well.. when they took her foley out it was very nasty. the administrator was making allegations and saying my grandma was picking at her ileostomy bag and was making it leek. well considering it was taped a crossed her stomach and she broke out and she had a rash she might of itched at it or she might of been trying to keep the tape from coming off.. my grandma now is coming home with a very bad bed sore (unless the amazing hospital can get it better) and she is coming home unable to walk.... st andrews place did not try.... they were a waste of time and i will say to not put your family in this place... seeing how they do things just makes me shake my head...

The staff at St Andrews Place is phenomenal. I would visit my mother daily while she was in their care, and seeing the way the staff cared for her made me feel much better about my decision to place her in their care. I read of all sorts of horror stories with regard to nursing homes, so naturally I was very concerned at first. If you want your loved one to be cared for without worry, this is definitely the place. They cared for my mother right up until the time that her condition required inpatient hospice. The level of care they provide is matched only by their compassion for their patients. I did a lot of research before choosing St Andrews, but I feel that God led me here, and there couldn't have been a better place for my mother. Thank you St Andrews!
