Sabal Palms has been a life saver for my Family. The Management Team , Lead by Brett and the department heads really go out of their way to make this community safe and comforting for your loved one. I looked at many communities and they all look very nice, however it’s the staff at Sabal that sold us. The pricing is fair for what they deliver. I am so pleased.
Sabal Palms helped so much in our time of need. It is definitely hard when your independent parent meets up with an unforeseen circumstance. After a head injury caused multiple issues, the Rehab hospital required us to have a plan in place where our parent would have onsite care while Physical and Occupational Therapy would be administered through an home health service. We had heard some good things about Sabal Palms and while my parent was in the hospital, we looked at the facility. It was very clean, organized, and had a very caring atmosphere. Once my parent arrived, there were some complications with his medication causing us to worry and even have to temporarily assign additional 24 hour surveillance. Sabal Palms was very professional and worked with us to assure we had the proper comfort level so that the healing process could take place. With a change in medication, things looked a lot brighter. Although my parent is recovering from the accident, we feel very strongly that care and dignity are being applied at this facility and that this was the best course of action for recovery. Thank you very much, Sabal Palms! (Brett, Sandra, Jaycee, Steve and the other nurses and aides and staff).
I have worked at Sabal Palms for over a year now and love it, I especially love seeing how happy the residents are throughout the day and when I leave my shift! You could not find a more caring and helpful staff in the area along with the facility itself being beautiful and well kept together. The employees here have compassion for our residents and do everything they can to make sure the residents feel like they are at home.
Recently our family began looking for a place for our grandmother. We have toured several locations and Sabal Palms by far has the nicest and most welcoming staff of any location in the area. Our tour took place around lunchtime and we were able to sample some of the chefs dishes. His food was just like my grandma’s home cooking. She enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. After touring many places we decided to call Sabal Palms her new home. Thank you to the entire staff for making her transition such a smooth one.
We have been very happy with Sabal Palms. They brought Kathy's mother back to life when she came to Florida from Ohio. Beautiful facility, beautiful people, great food. She was with them all thriugh thr Covid year and has been at Sabal for close to 2 years total. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great place!
My loved one has resided in their memory care unit since September 2019. The facility is excellent well built and maintained (don't forget we live in hurricane country so structure is important). While those items are important along with the food, the personal care etc., I believe that it's management and staff people that truly make the difference. Management has kept the facility safe for all especially during this covid-19 impact. The staff provides individual care for the memory care residents and my spouse has thrived because of their dedication. Having dementia there is really not treatment or cure so it's the day to day care that's important. The food: I can't tell you that the food is terrific (I don't eat there) but my spouse has gained approximately twenty pounds since being admitted. By the way, she's always been a picky eater. If she isn't feeling well and not feeding herself, they will feed her.Is she happy, she can't tell me but I can observe her reactions and know that she's happy and feels safe. She's kept clean, dressed well and by all outward signs, is pleased being a resident.Other than not having Alzheimer's and being home with me, I'm glad that she resides at this facility.
I would like to share how extremely pleased we are with Sabal Palms Assisted Living and Memory Care here in Palm Coast. My wife and I moved from CT to Palm Coast back in March 2020. My mom was in assisted living in CT at the time and the plan was to move her down here with us a few months after we settled in. When the pandemic hit, it simply wasn’t deemed safe to move her, so the plan was delayed. My mom has always been a vibrant, witty, social, and active woman pre-pandemic. Over time in 2020, we witnessed that light in her begin to fade as she was faced with months of lockdown, confinement to her room and complete isolation. Given my mom was a highly social person, the isolation and severe neglect, took its toll on her and she developed dementia and suffered emotionally and physically. Although we spoke with her weekly, we could tell it was time to accelerate our plans to move her and we began our search for an assisted living community close to our home. After weeks of researching and visiting multiple faclities, we decided that Sabal Palms would be the best fit for her. From the very moment we met with Sandra and Brett at Sabal Palms, we felt a genuineness that seemed lacking in other residences. The staff and, more importantly, the residents seemed happy, active and comfortable with their surroundings. Sandra took the time to listen to us, learn about my mom so that she could present us with care plan options that were fully customized to fit her needs. My mom needed to be free to socialize, take daily walks and re-engage with people. It was also vitally important that regardless of the pandemic, she needed to visit with us regularly. Sandra and the team understood this and explained their approach to allowing residents and family members to connect regularly. The memory care unit and staff there is AMAZING. Sandy is one of my mom’s favorite nurses who enjoys spending time with my mom. Laurie is fantastic and answers all of my questions from how is my mom doing today to explaining more medical related questions. These team members genuinely care about the residents and consistently go above and beyond to keep them engaged, active and happy. There is even an app that allows us to track all the activities she participates in. They keep us informed of everything she does and anything she needs.I have always respected the role caregivers play in looking after our elderly. Florida has a vastly different approach and perspective to their senior community than Connecticut and Sabal Palms, in my opinion, has raised the bar on what assisted living and memory care should look like. I could not be more relieved that my mom is there with caring people and that she is only a 5-minute drive from us. The entire team there are truly angels among us, and I would highly recommend this facility for your loved ones to be able to live their life with dignity around kind and caring people.
Sabal Palms has exceeded all my expectations as a long term care facility for my mother. The staff are so kind and caring. The facility is beautiful. Even though my mother has dementia, they involve her in all kinds of daily activities. The Executive Director is a kind, thoughtful man and clearly encourages his staff to make residents and family members feel welcome. You cannot go wrong putting your loved on in Sabal Palms!
My father is in the assisted living area and my mother is a memory care. Things have been much more difficult during Covid but you can’t blame that on Sabal Palms. All of these facilities have the same lockdown standards. They have done the best they can to keep the communication going during this time. They have not had a single case of Covid so that’s been a blessing. Like every other facility in Palm Coast they could definitely use more help but they are trying. My dad is very happy that he is able to visit my mother whenever he would like to. I know that has kept him going during this time. I am definitely looking forward to being able to visit inside every day. Brett has done an amazing job to protect the residents and staff. Also Jamie, JC, Dawn, Sandy, Jean and Laurie just to mention a few have been a great help. Also don’t want to forget to mentionSandy, Jeanie Lebby , and Bree in memory care.Update : unfortunately they now have had some positive cases of Covid. However, they immediately went into action. Visitations were immediately stopped. They limited the contact between residence and provided them with N95 masks. In the meantime the residents have been able to receive the vaccine. Sabal Palms tries very hard to keep in touch with the families and keep them updated with what’s going on. I appreciate how hard they are working during this pandemic.
My wife and I have been fortunate in being residents at Sabal Palms for the past year and would like to take this opportunity to not only rate it with 5 Stars but give my reason why. In a word, Staff.Housekeeping, Dietary, Nursing, Facility Upkeep, Activities. Each of these departments have the same goal. The care of the residents. All address us by name, ask about are wellbeing and offer assistance to anything we may need. During this unfortunate COVID outbreak, when vaccination became available, it was carried out with what I would call Military Precision. Staff take the utmost care in protecting and informing residents of the need to protect the themselves . Each day, a list of activities is posted which give all the opportunity to participate in and to share life experience with each other. There is no place like home. Saba Palms comes as close as possible to it..
Sabal Palms is such a beautiful community. The staff and management team are so kind and considerate. I have heard many folks talk about how good the care and food is at Sabal Palms. It's great to hear our seniors can enjoy a safe quality of life without the worry or hassle of owning a home.
