I visited with my aunt who I had not seen since May of 2019 pre-admission to Riverdale. I arrived with some anxiety however once greeted and registered I began to settle down. I enjoyed my visit and I had the opportunity to meet Nadine, she was so comforting and professional. My aunt told me how much she liked her, I can see why, her bedside manner was outstanding. Thanks to the staff for what you do, the you for caring. Happy Holidays!! Lou Letizia - Syracuse, NY.
This is the worst place ever!!! They NEVER return your calls. They LIE and tell you they are looking into your concern to no avail. But they have the wrong one. I am the one who goes over and beyond to handle my concerns have an appointment with 2 news media stations and I WILL BE GOING ALL THE WAY. Ask Kaiser about me.... minutes away from removing my sister from this awful place. No one gives you an update. They will tell you the care plan and turn around and ask you what you think should be done. The little social worker told me she was looking into a long term facility only to turn around and ask me if I called??? Isn't that your job?? The day of their little parade I was told my sister did not want to come outside. 2 "nurses", I guess, pretended to go get my sister and came back and said "she doesn't want to come out". When I called the social worker she informed me that she was with other patients she didn't know anything about it. WOW!! Only to call my sister saidand found out she was in physical therapy and was not informed that I was there! That was the straw!! My sister likes the physical therapist and she does not want to leave.. They only want a paycheck!! Have been told 3x that I would receive a call from the physical therapist to no avail! Trust me, this place is trash!!
This center is a complete nightmare. If you care about your family member at all do not let them go to this place. The staff has zero compassion, it is impossible to get any answers about your loved ones health. The residents do not have access to a phone so you can not even talk to them. My father in law was left in the bed for days, with zero physical therapy, terrible food, no communication to his family or from his doctors. We called everyday to get an update only to be transferred to voice-mails or hung up on. This place should be shut down. It took days but we finally got him out of there & moved to a wonderful rehabilitation center that has already called us several times to update us on his different therapies and he has a phone in his room so we can actually speak to him and they have visiting hours. Riverdale Center staff should be ashamed of themselves!
The staff at this facility has been so amazing! My uncle is a resident there and he has nothing but great things to say about the staff, the food, rehab and the cleanliness of the facility. The administrator is so sweet and caring also. All the staff really go out of their way to make him feel like he is “at home”. As a family member, this makes me feel at ease. I know he is being taken care of and have no worries throughout the day. Everyone from social services to activities and nursing staff call me and communicate on a regular basis. The facility is definitely 5 stars!
My grandmother was in this place she was on west wing and nurse Angela that I would talk to up there during the day was so nice. She answered all of my questions and would keep her word when she said she would do something. She really made me feel my grandmother was in good hands. Other staff members were rude and PT really didn’t help her much but we was able to get her home with PT coming out to see her with help from Tanika and Shawn. They set us up with everything we need to provide excellent care for her at home.
Complete disaster! My mother in law was center here to get physically stronger and during her time here has only been able to do a few exercises due to not being seen by the nurse practitioner for an infection. Her calls to the nurse are consistently ignored, she is told they will be in to give her meds, and or see a dr yet nobody shows up. From ants in her bed, to the first 3 days without physical therapy or her meds, to the rude staff, please go elsewhere. And forget about getting a manager on the phone. I’m convinced that position is vacant.
