From the outside this facility looks very nice, The housekeepers definitely do their job well and keep it very clean, but take it from an inside worker it’s not that great of a place. I worked in the care center for about a year and quit in May. I worked as an NSA and got to experience firsthand how a lot of the CNA’s treated and cared for the residence, and how supervisors handled situations. A lot of the CNA‘s do not do checks as regularly as they are supposed to, residents are not changed as often as they should be, some residents are left to sleep in their bed until mid afternoon and barely checked on. Many of the residence belongings are not properly taken care of and thrown about the room, during feeding times a lot of the staff end up getting frustrated and trying to shove food in residence mouse when they refuse to eat which is not OK and that’s not what we are top when we are trained, However many of the staff have worked in this facility for quite a long time and nothing is ever done about it. I recall a time that somebody accused me of asking a cafeteria worker to feed a resident which is not allowed, and after talking to the other person that they said was involved in proving that it was not true and that was it was a false accusation after getting yelled at by a nurse, not talk to you but yelled at, they immediately just wanted to stop talking about it and drop it without doing anything to confront the situation towards the person who made the false accusation and told me to leave it alone. And they also didn’t do anything to the nurse that was very disrespectful to me when confronting me about the false accusation. It’s pretty sad how a lot of them are treated, don’t get me wrong there are some good staff, but there are still a lot of bad stuff and no precautions are being taken towards this neglectful behavior that’s going on in the facility. I would never recommend this facility for anybody’s loved ones. A lot of the hygiene expectations aren’t upheld, And I have heard a lot of people say that as long as they aren’t car it’s OK. Or as long as the state inspector isn’t there it’s all right. So not only did they not treat their workers very well, but they treat their residence even worse. I really don’t mean to just bash on this establishment but I think that everybody should know what’s going on before they place their loved ones into a center that is supposed to care for them. I really hope they get it together soon.

I don't recommend going because of this reason....... I had a emergency on the 26th of April 2021 and needed to visit the emergency room at the Powell hospital only to find out as I got there to the emergency room the door was locked and could not enter. in a panic I opened the sliding doors only to come face to face with a very rude cantankerous lady (Lindsay was her name) that started to yell at me about how I needed to call on the phone before I came in. I stated I wasn't in an emergency I am bleeding heavily and am pregnant I believe I'm having a miscarriage and all this lady did is get more rude and ask me to leave the emergency room and denied me medical Care because she got frustrated because I did not follow the exact protocol at this frantic time in my life. in my opinion the Powell valley hospital has incompetent emergency employees that have no mannerisms or people skills in any way shape or form. it is an emergency room not to be expected to be locked nor any signs or notage warning me of locked doors. and now I believe this manner contributed to the loss of my unborn baby. that lady at the front absolutely had no empathy whatsoever for me and was by far the most rudest I have ever met in my life to even call the police on me and then the police had the audacity to even call me during this miscarriage and ask me questions with no regards to me or my unborn child. I also have a video recording after the first initial rudeness of Lindsay the lady at the front so if anybody wants to dispute this I will be more than happy to share the video in this distressing moment of my life. from what I seen and I'm not going to hold everyone in that hospital accountable to that Lindsay lady that would not share her name and even hid and turned her head for me which means she turned her back on me literally in this time of desperate need in confusion I am only 24 years old and this is my second or was going to be my second child but no longer due to the lack of empathy or care of that lady named Lindsey at the front. she is also the lady that called the Powell Police on me and then lied to the power police that I broke a door that the power was not on to so on top of all that she even lied to a police officer in hopes to get me into some sort of trouble during this despairing time. they always say one apple can ruin the whole bunch and I guess this is one of those times where one employee messes up so bad it marks the employer which would be the hospital but if I say I would not visit this hospital from what I've seen and been through because of them

I 100 percent recommend giving birth at PVHC! I had been through 2 different OBGYN’s in my pregnancy & finally got in with Sharae Bischoff & Ashley Engesser. They made me extremely comfortable & the process went smoothly due to them making me feel absolutely supported. Before, During & After giving birth... the nurses were WONDERFUL. Brittany & Chelsea helped my husband & I tremendously with baby & with any & all questions we had. Karolyn helped us a ton with understanding paperwork. Everyone made sure I was comfortable with going home before they sent us on our way. We gained a great friendship & awesome memories with the staff members. I truly feel I will ALWAYS use Sharae & PVHC when having kiddos! I can’t say enough about how much we appreciated our care. ❤️

You may think this review doesn’t count because I work at the clinic but I’ve had my mom in the hospital several times over the past year and if the staff hadn’t been wonderful they would have heard about it because this is my mama we’re talking about! So let me tell you ...not only is the staff at PVHC skilled they are also caring, respectful , patient, pleasant and insightful. .

Worst service and most unprofessional leadership I have ever seen! This place has gone so far down due to poor leadership. PVHC use to be the BEST place to go! They workers are still awesome but unfortunately their leadership is the most horrible I have ever seen and is just running this place into the ground! I feel bad for all the wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff that have to work there... Just sad....
