The therapy seems to be great there, as my dad has made progress. The director of nursing, Jocelyn is rude, unprofessional, very impatient and quick to hand off any phone calls or questions to other staff. Many of the nurses have been friendly, but the few that aren’t, make the place feel uneasy and understaffed, and overall unprofessional. One nurse told me she couldn’t get me the updated status of my dad because she would have to “click to another screen.” Therapists try hard and do a great job on the rehab side, and he is making progress, I just wish the face of the organization and nurses were a bit more compassionate. The social worker does not call back and is also quick to pass the buck when issues arise. Overall, try not to ever have to have your family members here. You will never forgive yourself, and not sleep with a good conscious.
I worked at this facility as a contract PT in their Rehabilitation Department for several months and must say it was one of the nicest places I've ever worked at. Administration and staff were friendly and helpful. The nursing home is located on the edge of town with lovely views of mountains and horse pastures. I really felt there was good communication and a team approach for helping the rehab patients. Most importantly the staff are truly kind and caring to all the residents. Those "little extras" for residents, which usually don't get done in most facilities, were evident at Kindred's Parkview Acres. I hope they continue to deliver quality care in their community.
Kindred Parkview is a warm, hospitable environment where new faces are welcomed. Although endlessly busy meeting the needs of their residents, the staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, ethical, hard working and most of all dedicated to meeting the needs of those they care for. This is a facility that when faced with adversity and tribulation joins together to ensure continuity of care and continued commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents and staff members alike. Kindred Parkview is indeed a strong resource for the community of Dillon and its health care needs.
My brother has been living at Parkview for about 3 years now, and has made more progress than at any other Rehabilitation place he's been in since his brain injury 6 years ago. Claire, the director, has done a remarkable job in handling all aspects of my brother's care, while Sue, the nursing director, has been amazing in handling the medical aspect of it. I am so grateful to all the staff at Parkview for everything they have done to help him be the best he can be. Would I recommend Parkview to anyone else? YES, absolutely!
Each time we enter Kindred Nursing (Parkview) we are amazed at how welcome we feel and how it feels so much like home. The residents treat each other and each other's guests with respect and dignity. The staff are like friends to the residents and very accommodating to their needs. They go out of their way to be helpful and don't seem to feel the slightest bit inconvenienced at doing the same things over and over. The residents are helped to maintain their level of activity but not pushed to do things they do not want to do. Our brother feels so grateful to be in such a facility. He likes the food, loves the staff, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The bookwork is easy--they do it for us--as well as appointments, laundry, haircuts. We have always found it clean, a pleasant smell and comfortable. We too are grateful for Kindred, Claire and her staff. On a scale of 1-10, we give them 10+.
This is a nice place to undergo any rehabilitation that you or your loved ones might need. They are nice, friendly, and considerate. I almost wish that I could go back, but alas life has many paths. My particular problem was bariatric. I won’t go into details, but I will say that in the four months I was there, they helped me lose eighty pounds... The doctor was enthusiastic about my case and we still converse through email. If you don’t watch yourself, you might pick yourself up another family...
It's peace of mind when you know there are registered nurses working 24/7. Dementia is a very serious mental condition. Pioneer Care is the best care for dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I appreciate the staff at Pioneer Care because they know they are taking care of someone's mom or dad, grandma, grandpa. Ask to tour the building, and you'll see what I mean.
