Employee Reviews for Communicare Health in Petersburg, Virginia
1.92 out of 5 stars. Based on 13 reviews
The pay is good, but not worth the stress and negativity. The management team is unorganized and often changes policies without notifying staff. There is a lack of communication between management and staff, and the staff-to-resident ratio is too high. There is a high turnover rate and not enough supplies to do the job. The older CNAs make the environment very tense and there is a lot of criticism and not enough recognition for the hard work of the staff. It is not a bad place to work if you are already licensed, but it is not a good place to work if you are looking to get licensed.Employee Reviews for Communicare Health

There is absolutley no way I would send my dog to this facility let alone someone I claim to love. They are always low on supplies and the staff has no sense of teamwork. The administration is clearly clueless as to what is going on in her facility not do I think she cares. They blame everything that is wrong with their facility on the staff when it is obviously administrations fault. Bottom line, don't work here (unless you are working through an agency) and don't work there long. Don't send your loved ones there unless you really don't care how they are treated.
My roommate was brought there from hosp with expectations that she would be in private room. She had cdiff and shared a room with a Colonoscopy bag that was running out on the floor. When asking for help to bathroom she was refused and told she had to wait for pt. I was on video call and witnessed the level of care. Not only that but the nurse violated the hippo law by speaking to my friend about my roommate with no permission. She also gave the other payients medical info out. They refused to call anambulance when my roommate expressed the need to go to hosp. Also they told her she would not recieve her meds because they had to order it from maryland. Shes a diabetic. I will be calling the on budsman on monday and sharing my video.
My mother died in that place on May 27,2018! It was not very clean, it stunk, but I did not put her there. My half sister did! :( There's more, but I'm not going into details because it will just upset me again. :( God bless my mother's soul and God rest her soul. I miss her so much.
WORSE PLACE EVER. MY GRANDMOTHER FELL AND THEY DID NOTHING. WENT THE SAME NIGHT AND SHE WAS UNRESPONSIVE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT CALL 911 FOR HER SO I CALLED AND SHE STAYED IN THE HOSPITAL 4 DAYS. THEY LOST HALF OF HER CLOTHES AND NOW WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. WORSE PLACE EVER. I WOULD NOT EVEN LET THEM CARE FOR MY DOG AFTER ALL THE STUFF THEY HAVE DONE. DON'T PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE.
