Cost of Living in Our Community
The cost of living in our community varies based on several factors, including the sector you choose to live in, the floor plan of your residence, and any additional health care or services you may require.
In my first email, I provided you with literature regarding our independent living options. In this email, I have attached information pertaining to our assisted living and memory care services.

Overview of Professional Staff and Training
All staff members possess the necessary trainings, certifications, and degrees required for their specific roles, which include Resident Assistants (RAs), nurses, maintenance personnel, marketing team, and the executive director, among others.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our assisted living facility adheres to all Maryland Department of Health (MDH) protocols and undergoes periodic surveys to ensure compliance with standards. The building is secured with key/fob entry, except for the main front door, which is staffed 24/7.
Resident Transition Support Services
New residents receive an orientation tailored to their living sector—be it independent, assisted, or memory care—to facilitate their transition into the community.
Transportation Services
We provide a shuttle bus service from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, for destinations within a 10-mile radius.
Dining Experience
Parkshore boasts four chefs and commercial kitchens where meals are freshly prepared. Independent living residents have access to dinner throughout the week and Sunday brunch, while assisted living and memory care residents are offered three meals daily.
Resident Grievance Process
Residents can submit grievances using a form that can be dropped in a designated box, or they can directly communicate with the executive director or assistant executive director.
Family Communication Policy
Communication with residents' families varies depending on the living sector and the arrangements made at move-in.
Short-term or Respite Stays
Respite stays are available, with detailed information provided in the attached literature.
Pet Policy
Parkshore is a pet-friendly community, allowing birds, cats, and fish. Dogs are permitted to visit.
Vaccination Clinics
Flu and COVID-19 booster vaccination clinics are offered annually or as recommended by the MDH.
Aging in Place
While we offer three distinct sectors of living, they are physically separate within our community. A move to another apartment is necessary when transitioning from independent to assisted living. We maintain a waitlist but also have immediate availability for certain living options.
