They talk a good talk. If you are not there every day, your love one is going to suffer specially if they are in a wheelchair and can’t get out of bed on their own. My love one can express her needs and also get upset. If they speak their mind or call their love ones for help🤔 their will be retaliation from the staff 😡
This place is absolutely horrible! STEER CLEAR! My mother stayed here for 1 1/2 weeks after surgery for rehabilitation. There were not enough exercise machines for the patients scheduled per time slot so they had to waste part of their precious 30 minute allotted rebab time waiting in line. Other than that 30 minutes, patients are left in their beds to rot. In 1 1/2 weeks, my mom only sat on a toilet once - when I demanded she receive a shower (only one given in the entire time). Her roommate had been in there for 3 weeks and had never been taken to the bathroom or shower. They are left to urinate and defecate in their beds. How humiliating and demeaning for the patients and their family! There never seemed to be a shortage of help, though. The problem is that they were always at the nurse's station all chatting with each other, not helping patients at all. The ONLY positive about this place were 2 great, wonderful nurses she was lucky enough to have - Alvin and Tina. Many thanks to you two!!!!!!!!
I have to admit that when I read some of the reviews on google, that I was terrified of sending my husband here for short term rehab. I couldn't have been more wrong. Every staff member I have encountered has been friendly, professional, extremely helpful and understanding. All my questions and concerns have been answered quickly, compassionately, and patiently. My husband has been there for a week now and I am confident that he is receiving the care and therapy that his needs. Thank you Palm Gardens! I pray for all of your staff everyday in my prayers.
Be careful of a certain person that is moving there from Jacksonville Florida. She has frauding people with debit cards.Dont let anyone use your loved ones debit card. This person went on a shopping spree until I called the finance office at San Jose Health and rehab center in Jacksonville Florida.
Do not put your love one at this place. Most everything of my Aunts has been stolen and there is questionable abuse! I live in another state and had to call the police to check on my Aunt, We are trying everything we can to get her moved but are having a hard time because of covid-19.
The worst place to have your loved one stay. My mother was neglected, mistreated and I feel abused because of the lack of care. They let my mother sit there until she was about to die then finally decided to get her to the hospital but it was to late. Never let your loved one go to this facility!

Well I must agree with Sharon and what she expressed about for her husband. However, I was the patient with a broken leg that was very severe and had undergone 2 surgeries in 2 weeks. The second surgery to repair my leg was needed do to some problems with first surgery, leaving me very, very scared as to the outcome of my recovery. The PT staff was good to me but I have questions of many of the other staff. Your meds are Never given on time and if it is pain meds for it, you will wait 45 minutes 2 + hours. This is not right and I am an educated woman, retired executive, so what are they doing to those who can not speak for themselves. I had arrived at the center early evening and they never asked me if I had dinner before I left Tampa. I had to ask for water. Next morning, after PT I waited for the nurses to come in and change my bed and bring me some water to clean up but by 2:30pm no one had come in. I finally got someone and they said YOU HAVE TO ASK, WHAT? I never heard that before . My other big surprise was my nurse was in my room adjusting my IV and I asked her when she was done if she would give me a bedpan. Her answer was NO, I am a nurse and that is the aides responsibility. I'll send her in. Well 45 minutes later no aide, she never told her. This was my first experience rehab center and I hope the last because this place is awful. I think they are taking advantage of covid-19 and not allowing family in to the center.
My husband was transferred here from Winter Haven Hospital. He suffer a broken leg and a broken shoulder, he was here for temporary rehab. On arrival he was in pain and asked for medication. Two and a half hours later he still had not been given medication If you love your family member DO NOT send them here. When we arrived a gentleman was calling for help the nurse was ignoring him
My Sister was a patient at Palm Garden. Every time we were there visiting, we observed the staff interacting with her in a pleasant way. They were "connected". You could tell that there was more to the interaction than just business. They would follow up on a previous conversation, personal things, like "oh this is your sister that likes to shop", or she would tell us something about them, like "his son is in a band".We never walked down the hall that we weren't approached and she was hugged, or given an encouraging word. When she had an issue about the food, it was addressed immediately. As a family, we were invited to progress conferences. She loved the physical therapy department so much that she chose to go back as an outpatient after she was discharged.I have referred many friends to PG since our experience.

My family and I could not have asked for a more positive and pleasant experience for our mom. The team at Palm Garden was outstanding. The nursing staff and physical therapy team made her recovery exceptional. Doctor said she was four weeks ahead of schedule thanks to them. The cleanliness was far above board, and we have experience with other facilities! Never once was there an unpleasant odor. The food was terrific, my mom never once asked us to bring in food. She was excited to see what was being served at every meal. The administration is caring and concerned. It starts at the top and trickles down, that is very evident in this organization. Samantha Clearwater, thanks to you and everyone at Palm Garden. Our prayer is, we don't need you again! But, if we do, we have confidence knowing you and your team will take great care for our parents!
My sister was a patient at this facility, our family was very displeased with the management and social service departments. Management/Social Services lacked the ability to communicate and facilitate a smooth transition from admissions to discharge. This is NOT a patient centered facility! We are greatly appreciative of the Nursing staff, Therapists and CNA’s.( I noticed in reading other reviews, that you only respond to positive reviews.....this shows an incredible lack of integrity, and desire for improvement )
Very dissatisfied with management's care planning processes from admission to discharge home. Not patient centered. Management and Social Services lacked appropriate communication skills, planning skills to provide safe transition from admission to discharge home. Nusing staff, CNAs, Physical Therapy friendly & caring.
