Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
We have a wait list for memory care at this time but have a few great units open in assisted living.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have care givers and medication technicians that are overseen by, our Resident service Director, Isabel, in our assisted living and Alicia is our Memory care director.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
We understand that everyone's needs are different. Our experienced staff will work closely with you and your family to develop a personalized care plan that addresses your specific requirements and promotes your overall well-being.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
There are services available to families that are looking for an outside agency that they can bring in to the community if they choose to do so. Our dedicated staff is available around the clock to provide assistance and support, ensuring your comfort and peace of mind.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes, we will make available to residents, or otherwise assure the provision of, scheduled transportation to the nearest appropriate health facilities for medical and dental appointments, social services agencies, shopping and recreational facilities. Transportation is available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on designated days. Other transportation outside normal business hours may be arranged by the Resident with the Community’s Activities Director for an additional charge, or with an outside agency.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
Our culinary team takes pride in crafting delicious and nutritious meals. We offer a variety of menu options, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences, to ensure that every meal is a delightful restaurant style dining experience.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
It is the policy of Pacifica that each resident, family member, and visitor has the right to voice grievances, concerns, and/or issues related to any avenues of service without reprisal or recrimination. The following procedure should be followed when filing a grievance to ensure a prompt resolution.
- Immediately notify a staff member of any grievance. They will provide you with a grievance form upon which you can document your concern.
- Return the completed form to the Executive Director or the Resident Services Director as soon as possible. Both are available Monday through Friday 9 am until 5 pm.
- Upon receiving the written or oral grievance, the Executive Director will designate an appropriate department director to assess and respond to the grievance.
- The department director should complete a written response and return it to the Executive Director within five (5) working days.
- The Executive Director will promptly notify you by phone of the result and resolution of the grievance.
- If unsatisfied with the resolution or have further concerns, you may contact the Regional Director.
What is the cost of living in your community?
I will depend on the size and style and location of the unit, and there are additional fees for the cost of care.
Assisted Living Rent: Studios start at $3195-$3595 and one bedrooms start at $4895.

What is your policy on communication with residents and guest visits?
We encourage family visits and communication. Your guests are welcome to visit and participate in appropriate activities at the Community, if you so desire, provided they respect the rights of other residents and staff and abide by our visitor and guest policies, including reasonable limitations on the length of stay and frequency of visits. You will be responsible for assuring that your guests abide by these rules and are not disruptive. Visitors are asked to sign the registration book at the reception desk each time they enter and exit the Community. Normal visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. We reserve the right to remove or deny entry to the Community to any visitor whom we determine is disruptive or dangerous.
Are documents digitally signed by families?
Some of the documents are signed via paper, and we have a DocuSign for the main contract. They must be signed by a resident or the POA.
How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
The staff at the Community will observe your health status to identify your dietary, social and health care needs and will provide you with consultations regarding social and health-related issues. The Community will notify family, responsible parties and other appropriate persons and/or agencies of your significant needs.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
No, all stays are 30 days or longer, contract is month to month.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes Small dogs and Cats, one pet per unit, and a one-time $500 Pet fee. The resident must be able to maintain their pet.
Are residents able to get COVID vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes, we do have clinics that come in as needed.
Are residents able to age in place?
Although our hope is that you can reside at the Community for as long as you desire, in accordance with the laws governing residential care facilities for the elderly and our policies, we may need to transfer or discharge you if you do not meet certain retention requirements. Please note that the following conditions, among others, may lead to a reappraisal and a termination of your residency. The Agreement may terminate and we may transfer or discharge you if:
- You do not meet the retention requirements established by State law and the Department of Social Services regulations;
- You present an immediate physical threat or danger to yourself or others.
- You have active communicable tuberculosis or another similar communicable disease.
- You require 24-hour, skilled nursing or intermediate care.
- You are not elderly and have needs in conflict with other residents or the programs of services offered, or require more care and supervision than other residents.
- You have a primary need for care and supervision that results from dementia or a mental disorder resulting in ongoing behavior which would upset the general resident group, or which would require us to provide to you a greater amount of care and supervision than other residents at the Community or if you cannot generally benefit from the program of services available at the Community.
- You are "bedridden" (other than for a temporary illness or for recovery from surgery) as defined by State law and licensing regulations.
- You refuse to accept services required in order for us to meet your needs.
- You have health care or other needs that cannot be met at the Community for reasons such as licensure, design or staffing.
- Your personal physician has determined that you require services not available at the Community.
- Your condition changes so that you are considered a wandering risk or you are unable to respond to verbal instructions in an emergency. (Memory Care)
- You have stage 3 or stage 4 pressure sores.
- You require gastrostomy care.
- You have a staph infection or other serious infection.
- You depend on others to perform all activities of daily living, as set forth in the residential care facility for the elderly regulations.
- You have a tracheostomy.
