My mother was in their skilled nursing facility in Labelle for a broken femur. She quickly deteriorated under their care. She had lots of urinary retention. And catheters in and out. They only ever did KUB testing on her. They said she had an ileus and she would hae to suffer through it. When she finally was admitted to Gulf Coast (at first they insisted she HAD to go to Lehigh which is where my dad died), Gulf Coast ER determined she had dangerously low sodium levels, blood in urine and a UTI. I dont know how Orchid Cove didnt catch that she had these dangerous sodium levels and blood in urine. Also tried to force her to to to Lehigh when the patient has the right to choose hospital. Also when a social worker went to talk to my mom because she was very depressed, they told me I couldn't know about that conversation due to privacy but I am her Health Care Proxy. Also doctor who I only spoke with ONCE told me she had to go to the ER via a PHONE MESSAGE that got disconnected. They said she tried to call me from her private number but I had no way of calling her back. Said I called facility 22 times which is not true andI have phone records to prove this. Kept my mom in a chair at times with urine and feces in her diaper for 4 hours on end. No one ever called me back in a timely matter. The list goes on. She was supposed to be getting physical therapy on a non weight bearing order by her doctor but she said some days the therapist just played on his or her phone when they got to her and realized she had the no weight bearing order.
