I have worked at Edgewood since we opened, I helped set up the facility to get prepared for our first residents. Since we opened we have done quite the turn around. Being under new management has us making all the changes we need to have and the training we need to achieve these expectations. I am glad I have had the opportunity to help this facility grow in their goals and care for the Edgewood family. The residents absolutely make Edgewood what it has become today! Thanks Edgewood family and much love!!

DO NOT send your loved ones here, and if you do have loved ones here, put in nanny cams. Awful.

Our family would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone that cares about their loved ones!!After weeks of rocky dealings, our interactions came to an abrupt end an hour before our loved one was to arrive there. In addition, there were disparaging remarks made about the MT VA hospital - where our Veteran had received excellent care.In our opinion, the director’s behavior appeared rude & uncaring, and we believe the interactions were handled unprofessionally and without apologies.

I am so grateful that my dad is a resident of Edgewood in Helena. He is truly loved by the staff and is happy and well taken care of. Although he has dementia and suffered a stroke recently, he has made a full recovery and is eating on his own, reading, speaking and even has a sense of humor all due to the hard work and tenacity of the staff. They visited him in the hospital and during his stint in rehab so that they could prepare for him to "come home" to Edgewood. If you look on the Edgewood Facebook page you will see all the stimulating social activities and trips around town and beyond that the residents enjoy! My dad is a very welcomed part of the posse! It is also a very comforting thought that they will be likely the ones with him in his final days whenever that comes. In the meantime he lives life to the fullest extent thanks to all the staff at Edgewood...but with special thanks to Julia, Rebecca (both of them), Dessie, and Lisa.

My mother’s respite care was a disaster. I visited her everyday for a week to see how she was doing at this facility. Early on I stopped by to see her and there was a stench of urine as soon as I walked in. I found soiled clothing and continence protectors for the bed in a pile in her room. I told the nurse on duty and she took care of it. This happened 3 more times in one week. I went to take her to an appointment and when I stooped down to put her shoes on she reeked with urine. Every night they locked up her hearing aids in her med drawer. On the weekend they were not a available and the staff said they couldn’t get them without permission from the RN who works Monday-Friday. They said they would call her and I never heard back after asking 2 different people. I had to shout at my mom so she could hear me. I hired my home health caretaker for my mom so she would have constant companionship while I was out of town. The executive director came into the room and gruffly said “Who are you and what are you doing here?” It made Morgan cry she was so nasty. They did not brush her teeth or wash her face. I checked her toothbrush in the morning and it was not wet. She had sleepers near her eyes so I knew they were not washing her face. I put a sticky note on the bathroom mirror before I left to go out of town and when I went to pick her up in 2 weeks they still were not brushing her teeth. No matter what issues I brought up respectfully, nothing changed. The nurse was nice but didn’t take care of things. We will never take our mother back there again.

I had the pleasure of visiting this facility last spring and found it to be such a comforting, happy environment. The staff was attentive, organized, fun, but also calming. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The residents seem to thoroughly enjoy the many activities and looked forward to them! What impressed me most was the compassionate and positive interaction between staff and the residents. These people really care for each individual person, as if they were caring for a member of their own family!

This senior community has so much going on, anyone could be happy and active here. Meaningful activities are offered here compared to other time fillers at some senior communities I've seen.

The staff at Edgewood is the most caring, compassionate team I have ever encountered. Their facility not only is well maintained and beautiful, but they provide a variety of life enrichment programs for their residents. Five stars.

The staff at Edgewood are so loving and caring. They are doing more than just a job. They really care and it shows in the atmosphere of the facility. I often heard music and laughter when I got off the elevator. It wasn’t unusual to see any of the many workers from administration to housekeeping, nurses to kitchen workers, engaged in conversation with a resident and giving them a quick hug as they would a family member. The facility itself is fantastically clean. Edgewood has things happening constantly. They are very attentive to making sure all needs are met. They have good food, movies, social outings, shopping trips, church services, Bible studies and exercises available for those interested. There are crafts, and fun contests, word games, puzzles, and Wii bowling with realistic bowling alleys. If you or a loved one are in need of assisted living or memory care this is the place to go.
