Our family had an extremely positive experience at MorningStar’s memory care facility in Billings. My dad had Alzheimer’s and after a number of years at home we were beginning to look for residential care options. He was then diagnosed with terminal cancer, and we were facing a situation that needed a combination of hospice care and memory care. This proved to be a complicated problem to find an answer for.MorningStar was helpful in accommodating our needs. Sean, Joe and the staff were caring, attentive and very kind to us. I appreciated their level of honesty at each step. There is no perfect solution for dealing with these hard conditions, but they were professional and flexible. As the end approached quickly for dad, Morningstar took good care of him, and even allowed me to put an air mattress in the corner of the room to stay overnight. Our family was allowed to gather in his room to say our goodbyes. We will always be grateful for the care that dad received at MorningStar. We experienced it first hand, and also observed the loving care for other residents who were at various stages of their own memory care needs. Our stay at MorningStar was a short, but intense season. It was there that we said farewell to a special person in our lives. We are so thankful that we chose to put dad’s care in the hands of the people at MorningStar.Highly recommended.
The staff at Morning Star in Billings is amazing ..moved my Mother in over 3 1/2 years ago to IL ..Sean has been outstanding since day one .. always helpful & above & beyond..Also, Stazie, Jamie, Denise , Marlene to name a few...know me personally & this means a lot.Highly recommend to any family this wonderful facility.. It is definitely Mother’s home ..
Living at Morning Star in Billings has been a positive experience. I live in one of the cottages and all levels of my well being have been met exceptionally well. I have felt a community spirit in both the cottages and from people in the main building. The staff has responded quickly and efficiently to my requests. It has been pleasant, gratifying and satisfying to have contact with each one of the staff.
I don’t really know where to start. My mother lived in Morning Star independent living for about 17 months and then the memory care for about 3 months before she passed away on April 25. The people that work at Morning Star are the most amazing people!! They treat the residents and their families with love and kindness. They go beyond the call of duty. My mother was always treated with respect and dignity. I will never forget that. Ever. Sean and Jaimie always made time for me when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with the aging process my mother was going through. Sweet Marlene at the desk always talked with her everyday and Mary that cleaned her apartment was so sweet and kind and worried about her when she put the note on the door “don’t clean today”. Michael and Perry always we’re kind when she said something didn’t work over and over!! I could go on and on. The people working in memory care were kind and made her last days ok since I couldn’t be with her. Thank you to everyone in memory care also!! Randy and Sonja. Everyone and you know who you are that packed up my mom’s belongings so I didn’t have to do it. Anyways I would highly recommend Morning Star to anyone that is looking for a special place to have their loved ones. Thank you again Sean and Jaimie for everything.
The people at Morningstar have gone out of their way to make my parents comfortable. The atmosphere is wonderful and the many activities and entertainment make being a resident there fun. My dad can't say enough nice things about the dining room menu, and Mom is always in the library! I feel like my parents are in a safe place.
My stepfather moved to MorningStar about 7 months ago. The staff and care managers treat him like family. He is often commenting about individual employers going above and beyond their position to make him comfortable and happy. Recently, after a short stay in the hospital, my stepfather returned to MorningStar and exclaimed "I am glad to be home!" He had really missed all of the staff and residents.
I have the highest praise for MorningStar Billlings - the facility, the staff, the attention, the activities, and the food. The facility is fresh, clean, and beautiful. The staff is kind, attentive, personal and professional. A huge variety of fun and social activities gives options to everyone and brings people together. Then there is the food. Moving from home to a group facility is emotionally very hard. Good food is simply the first and the most important factor to every single resident. It has been my experience that MorningStar genuinely pays attention to providing creative, quality meals with a number of personal options every day. The bottom line for me - I feel secure about my sister’s safety, and I sincerely appreciate the care and warm personal attention that both she and I receive from the MorningStar staff.
My mom moved from the Morning Star in Idaho Falls to Morning Star in Billings, both have been great places to live. The staff in Billings has been kind, caring, and they treat our whole family with respect. Mom has had an easy time making friends and being encluded by the other residents. There are always lots of activities, special events, and groups to join if the residents are interested. If I have ever had a special request, the staff goes out of their way to help me. The friends that my mom has met are good to her and make her feel needed and wanted. My heart is happy that she is in such a good place at this point in her life!
My parents have only just moved in a week ago but I have been very happy with Morning Star so far. Everyone has been kind and helpful and attentive. This is our first experience with assisted living and staff at Morning Star have been encouraging and assuring. We are happy mom and dad are part of the Morning Star family!
