Overview of Staff and Training
We have an on-boarding process for all new employees, as well as 5-day shadow training for our Nurses, CNA’s, and Resident Assistants. Additionally, we provide monthly training and require online training for employees.
Safety and Well-being of Residents
Each resident receives a personalized care plan, with pre-assessment prior to admission and re-evaluation after the first 30 days, then periodically or after any significant change. Residents are equipped with a pendant for emergency calls and there's a pull cord emergency call in the apartment's restroom.
Transition into the Community
A resident ambassador and our Life Enrichment Director, Tori, welcome new residents and encourage participation in activities. A daily itinerary is delivered to residents, listing activities, menus, weather, and announcements.
Transportation Services
Complimentary transportation to and from doctors' appointments is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the Spring Hill and Thompsons Stations area, based on availability and with 24-hour prior reservation. Outings to local stores, restaurants, and scenic drives are also offered.
Dining Experience
Our culinary team, led by a wonderful Chef, offers made-to-order breakfast, lunch with a daily special and an always available menu, and a lighter supper menu. Snacks are also available upon request.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Our management team is hands-on and accessible, with residents and their families having direct contact numbers for our Director of Nurses, Lisa Chapman, and our Executive Director, Alicia Armstrong, to address any concerns.
Cost of Living
Costs vary depending on the apartment and care needs, with extra fees for outing purchases. Detailed pricing is attached.
Communication with Residents' Families
We use email for event notifications, direct calls for specific matters, and offer access to LifeLoop online for activity updates. Our Facebook page also shares community activities and pictures.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We currently do not offer respite stays but have a 30-day contract option for those in therapy or not ready to return to independent living.
Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community with a $1,000 one-time non-refundable pet fee, requiring residents to safely care for their pets. Family members are also welcome to bring pets for visits, and we have regular pet therapy sessions.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Annually, we offer a Covid and Flu vaccination clinic on site for residents.
Aging in Place
We support multiple levels of care, allowing residents to age in place, including those on hospice. Our community accommodates residents living independently, those needing physical help, and those who cannot manage a home cognitively but can live here successfully.
