  • Michigan Masonic Home Description

Freemasons started some of the first public schools in both Europe and America. We supported legislation to make education universal. In the 1800s, Masons lobbied for the establishment of state-supported education and federal land-grant colleges. The first Masonic Lodge in Michigan was created more than 250 years ago in Detroit.

Today, Masons give millions of dollars in scholarships each year. We encourage our members to give volunteer time to their local schools, buy classroom supplies for teachers, help with literacy programs, and do everything they can to help ensure that each person – adult or child – has the best educational opportunities possible. Michigan’s focus remains the same, with various programs established that are dedicated to education and youth advocacy, as well as supporting our brotherhood and families in need.

    Review Summary

The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.

The reviews for the senior living facility present a mixed but generally positive picture. Many reviewers praise the care and dignity provided to their loved ones, highlighting the helpful and caring nature of the staff. The physical therapy section, in particular, received high marks for satisfaction. The facility is described as clean, with staff members being friendly, helpful, and showing genuine care for the residents.

However, there are areas of concern noted by some reviewers. One review mentioned a significant issue with housekeeping and a perceived lack of action from management to address it, stating it has nothing to do with ongoing construction. Another review expressed frustration with what they described as unprofessional behavior, citing difficulty in getting responses to messages left with staff.

Despite these criticisms, the overall sentiment remains positive. The facility is commended for its friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, and the quality of its healthcare services, described by one reviewer as a "premier 5-star health-care facility." The staff's dedication to the residents and their families, especially during difficult times, was particularly appreciated, with one family expressing heartfelt thanks for the support received during a bereavement.

While one reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with a specific interaction, the majority of feedback highlights the facility's strengths, including its caring staff, clean environment, and the quality of care provided. The facility also seems to foster a sense of community, with events like picnics being well-received.

In summary, while there are areas for improvement, particularly in communication and housekeeping, the facility is generally well-regarded for its caring staff, clean environment, and the quality of its healthcare services.
