This neighborhood is a prime example of an up and coming neighborhood. It's got terrific access to parks, walking paths, schools, shopping, and nearby freeway access. These homes are a find for someone looking for mid-priced, mid-century charm they can turn into a modern home.
Terrible facility! Paid twice as much as home care for all of the additional benefits for a grandmother with early stages of dementia and she received absolutely terrible care. She requires 24/7 oxygen and called me three times saying that nobody came to assist even though she continued to press the bottom to alert staff. Lost clothing, dirty room, and did not even closely meet services as outlined in the signed contract. Everything changed when new ownership took over. Was continually assured by the site director that issues would be resolved but it no avail. Think twice before moving your loved one here!
Mom had Alzheimers for 10 years. When a move became necessary we were guided to Meadow Oaks by people we trusted who had cared for Mom at her previous facility. The staff here cared for Mom like she was family until her passing 2 weeks ago. Everyone from those who cared most intimately for her to the maintenance workers knew Mom & our family. Alzheimers is cruel, heartbreaking & devastating to its victims & families. To entrust your loved one to essentially strangers is difficult to say the least. We are forever grateful to the angels at Meadow Oaks for giving Mom tender care & for easing our minds during this time of great need and sadness. I can't thank them enough or say enough positive things about them.
No other like Meadow Oaks! After ownership changes, this community is like no other. Dedicated care team members, on site nursing 7 days a week and providing the overall sense of family and one on one dedication with the staff and clinical team. Won the heart of my grandmother, who never imagined so many friends!
Not sure why one pays so much and no one bothers to clean. Floor is dirty, counters don't get wiped down, they don't pick up or help the elderly who is incapable of keeping their room clean. Dirty laundry still sitting around. Room is just so unclean and it wasn't like this at the last place I lived in.
Every interaction i have had with this company has been a positive one. The concierge that handles all of the phone calls is so friendly and very vibrant whenever she answers. She is very helpful and always goes the extra mile to help you with whatever you need. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to improving the lives of others
A decent amount of parking in the immediate area. The staff was super friendly. I was a guest at a meeting here and they used the staff cooks to feed us and the food was terrific. It was a Taco Tuesday meeting and I was very happy I came to participate. Everything was clean there were great themed decorations for the community. I didn't know the previous management but the current staff are downright welcoming.
All around an excellent place to live. The staff is kind and friendly and cares for all residents as family and with respect. The food is outstanding unlike any other facility. I highly recommend this facility to everyone! It is very clean, they have lots of activities for residents to enjoy. I love that they have Memory Care where everyone is cared for as family as well. This place has been a blessing to all those who enter their doors.
I toured Meadow Oaks with my mother and sister. The gal that gave us the tour was very sweet and intelligent on the community. My mother loved the dining room ( we came in during lunch). She saw a lot of people chatting and she remarked to me that made her happy. We all saw the 1 bedroom, studio and a larger studio. While the one bedroom was nice we feel that the bigger studio was what we needed. All in all a good little place. Mom liked that it was not huge and was one story.
I concur 100% with Mr. Laube's review. It is difficult to know what a place will be like until you live in it, and now that our mother has been in Alta Manor for a few months, we are not only pleased, we are grateful to have discovered this wonderful facility. Every staffperson is friendly, helpful, stops to visit with the residents, gives hugs, and they go out of their way to do whatever we need. They unfailingly call residents by name. And my mother's name is unusual, Leatha. But everybody calls her Leatha. They have wonderful activities, keeping mom busy far more than where she was before. They take residents on outings, exercise every morning, and games and events. But the best part is the caring attentive staff.
We searched the greater Sacramento area, searching first for a place that did not have the odor of old urine. Many of the other places, though most somewhat passed the smell test, nonetheless failed the dining/food, and resident care tests. My dog eats better that what the wife and I experienced at some of the other facilities. The staff, at most of the other facilities, called their residents by their room #''s. Hey folks, these people are still alive, have a name and deserve respect, not just a number. We observed the interaction between staff and residents. Most were polite to their residents, but only Alta Manor showed their true colors when it came to taking care of the people entrusted to them.We took "Mom Corinne L." to several other facilities before bringing her to Alta Manor. Here we were served a complimentary meal, in the restaurant style dining area.Mom was treated then and as always after as a treasured guest. Mom was won over and though she didn't want to go into a care facility, this was the place that she chose to spend her last days. Mom's loving character came out as she befriended other residents and staff. We spent considerable time at Alta Manor. Our Dad Robert L. came to be in the memory care area. Again, very pleasant staff, dedicated people who look at caring for the elderly with love and attention to detail. Attractive dining area and good food! Both of our parents are now deceased. Alta Manor accommodated Mom in her hospice days with love and care. This was extended to my wife and I as we were told that we could spend 24/7 with Mom in her room. The staff even took care of our meals. The Front office, cleaning, therapy, excursion, entertainment and the medical staff were all wonderful, courteous and very kind to Mom and Dad and to us.In closing, if you have someone that you dearly love and want only the very best care for them, Alta Manor is the place to check our, FIRST. You will see for yourselves what a difference Alta Manor will make when it comes to care for your loved one(s).Blessings. Konrad and San Laube.
