My great grandmother has lived here for a couple years now, the staff is like her second family and they say she’s she one taking care of them lol! Hardly anyone has ever seen people get better once they are in nursing homes but she is thriving! She is the bingo queen and wins more things then she has room for. Praying for this facility facing covid-19.
Smelled the inside of the building before I walked in. No one is willing to help ever. I can't even say the hold times are ridiculous, because you get placed on a hold and they hang up. You can never speak to a nurse about a loved one. The sounds and the smells are awful. I am so glad I got my family member out when I did. If you love your family take them to Briarwood.
I had opportunity to work for Lakewood and it was by far, my favorite job in 22 years. Unfortunately, circumstances forced me to make a decision and I left, reluctantly. My son had a very bad wreck this summer and I just had too much on me.The administrator doesn't micro manage and the DON is a tough lady who gets it done. This facility cares about the residents, the relationships with the families and they really do care about their nursing staff, and treat them fairly.I would totally trust them with the care of my grandparents/parent. This facility doesn't get the recognition they deserve.
