Both Premier and Standard Membership plans offer the Member the same privileges, amenities and excellent service.
REFUND OPTIONS
Independence Village offers two Membership Fee Refund Options, allowing you to choose which Plan best suits your financial goals. A portion of your Membership Fee is always refundable to you or your estate regardless of the Plan you choose.
PREMIER PLAN – 80% REFUND
The Premier Plan offers the best value. Your Membership Fee is 80% refundable when you leave. The refund decreases to 80% of your Membership Fee after 30 days and remains constant at 80% thereafter.
STANDARD PLAN – 50% REFUND
The Standard Plan offers the best solution for those who want to enjoy the lifestyle at Independence Village for a smaller upfront fee. Your Membership refund under the Standard Plan is at least 50% or more when you leave. The amortization of your refund begins after 30 days at 80% of your Membership Fee and decreases by 1% per month until 50% is reached.

Safety and Well-Being Measures
All apartments come standard with emergency pull-cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Assisted living residents are given wearable emergency pendants with GPS locators.
Transition Support Services
All new residents will have a 1 on 1 meeting with the director of each department so we can become acquainted with their needs and preferences. Every effort is made to introduce new residents to other residents to facilitate friendships.
Transportation Services
Yes, we offer free transportation to dr. appointments and all off-site activities.
Dining Experience
In the apartments, 2 meals per day are included. (Breakfast is always included and then you have your choice of lunch or dinner). We offer a wide variety of menu options and then have daily specials.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Any complaints or issues are routed to our executive director. We host monthly town halls where residents can voice any concerns they may have.
Communication with Residents' Families
Family members can call or come by at any time. On the independent side, we can only give out health information to those approved by resident. In the case of emergency, information is given to emergency contacts.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer respite stays in our assisted living building. The cost is $165 per night plus care level costs, depending on what is needed.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, we allow dogs and cats in the homes and in assisted living and in the cottage apartments. Cats but no dogs inside the main bldg. apartments.
Vaccination Clinics
Yes, residents can sign up for vaccine clinics that will done in-house.
Aging in Place
Yes, once you are a member of our community, you can remain in your home or apartment, or transfer to any other available apartment on campus or to our assisted living. We currently have some availability, depending on the floor plan you are seeking.
