Recently my stepmom had a fall which required a hospital stay and rehab and we were suddenly and unexpectedly faced with finding a long term solution for her to have supervised care. We had no idea where to start. When I reached out to Indepence Hall, Eric and Janice were very receptive, understanding and patient with me. I was invited for a tour and immediately impressed. The staff is friendly and accommodating- special thanks to Eddie for all he does! Most importantly the residents are happy and friendly and my stepmom is doing great! We were concerned the transition for her would be tough but it's like hotel/cruise ship living and she is thriving! Beautiful dining room, great activities room, even a salon on site for her! I'm truly grateful to all of the staff, and we are very blessed to have found Independence Hall.
I have a loved one who who is a resident at Independence Hall and I truly feel at ease knowing she is in the care of loving staff like Julianna. She is an exceptional physical therapist with a good spirit and a wonderful bedside manner. It is a really clean environment (they just had new carpets installed!) and the maintenance and house cleaning crews keep the rooms and communal areas very clean. That is important in South Florida! There is a great chef, too! One thing I love are the opportunities my aunt has to remain as active as she has always been. She really enjoys the activities the staff organizes especially, exercise activities, happy hours, meals out at local restaurants, and shopping excusions. Personally, the residence is nearby my home and I am able to visit frequently, which makes me happy, and their admin department is always so kind when I call or visit. Nice job!
Horrible place. Don't be fooled by Mr. Marrinson's greeting on their home page which says "we have been & continue to be committed to meeting the needs of our residents & their families" FALSE! No way were my mother's needs met there - not even her basic ones. From the first day the nurse bungled up the time of her medication, when I specifically told her my mother should get it at 8:00 PM, she completely ignored me & gave it to her at 12:00 PM - 8 hours too early. They didn't give my mother a shower for weeks, & when I complained about it, they woke her up at 6:00 AM & forced her out of bed to take a shower. They are very VENGEFUL people, but especially the administrator Lori. My mother's hairbrushes were filthy, as was her bed many times, which they never bothered to change as she was incontinent when she sleeps at night & they were soaked with urine. The food in her refrigerator was moldy, as they never bothered to look in there either & my mother could have gotten very sick if she ate something from there. She walked around deaf most of the time as they didn't care enough to change the batteries in her hearing aids, & even "lost" not one, but two of them which were worth thousands of dollars. I believe that they just threw them away, they were so vengeful. My daughter saw a woman sliding off her chair in the dining room onto the floor - there was nobody to help her, they were so attentive. There is absolutely NOTHING to do there on the weekends, so the people who can't get out of there on there own are stuck just roaming the halls or watching TV for 48 hours. My mother called me crying (I was far away & couldn't get to her) that she is bored to death & begged me to please "GET ME OUT OF HERE". When I called the Elder Abuse Hotline to report them for everything I reported & much more, Lori was so angry & vengeful that she concocted some story which wasn't true because I was with the man from the Elder Abuse Hotline the whole time I was there, & had the police come & throw me out of the building. This place couldn't even meet the needs of a dog, let alone a human being. STAY AWAY!
The administrator Eric and his team always go the extra mile for the residents of Independence Hall. The comfort and well- being of the residents is their primary concern and all of the staff is so warm and caring. I would recommend Independence Hall to anyone looking for senior living.
I recommend Independence Hall as it is a wonderful Place. Starting from their staff and health care providers who are excellent and attentive to the residents. Everyone is friendly and caring. The place is beautiful and very well maintained. The food is very good and there are many choices to pick from. It is a great place to live.
What an amazing and caring place. From Eric and Janice to Eddie and Crystal, and everyone else that works there. They consider the residents a part of their family, and that is how the residents are treated - with love and compassion. My aunt couldn’t be in a better place, highly recommended! Thank you for all you do!

My experience in this place with my 94 year old mother has been excellent. The love of the staff, the management team and the nurses have made my mother last five years a total joy even under the covid pandemic. This is a community of love, the residents love one another, that is the atmosphere of this place. The food is excellent and the two chefs are the best of the best. We have loved this community so much.I highly recommend this facility to anybody considering having the freedom of living in almost a luxury hotel at the end of life for a reasonable price.
I moved my 90 year old parents from Fort Myers into Independence Hall in 2017. I comparison shopped the area and decided this was the best fit for my parents and for me as their primary family caretaker. When my father passed away in 2018 the staff were amazing, consoling and helped guide me through this difficult time. Since then my now 94 year old mother has been taken care of with a kind, compassionate, culturally proficient staff. I know their staff by name and they treat my mother as if she was their own family member. During the pandemic the staff made so many HUGE personal sacrifices to keep their residents Covid-free!! It was a very scary situation but they remained calm and focused on their mission - to keep their residents safe. I highly recommend Independence Hall!!
