Hillside Terrace is located in a historic mansion with an environment closer to a high-end bed-and-breakfast than a typical assisted living community, Hillside Terrace provides accommodations for a tightly knit community of 21 residents. In this warm setting, deep friendships are made with strong personal connections, and our staff strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of each resident we serve every day.
Hillside Terrace reflects our years of experience and dedication in providing the best in senior living. Established in 1945 by Mabel Choate, Hillside Terrace was one of many small family-owned nursing homes in the region. In 1958, Mabel passed the home down to her daughter, Dorothy, who provided elder care until 1972. Her son, Woodlands Senior Living Founder Lon Walters, grew up living among residents in Hillside Terrace and took over the residence in 1984, proudly reestablishing it as a senior living residence.
