If you are looking for professional and friendly staff this is the place for your love one. They were always responsive and showed great customer service. If I could give more stars I would.Words can not express the love and attention they provided my dad. He wasn’t there long and now is back home doing well.Thank you Management, Receptionist, Nurses and Caregivers for helping me try to help my dad. From all the way in California you made me feel like my dad was in good hands.Thank you🙏😊
During my stay at Hickory Heights I was treated wonderfully. From the Main offices, nurses, CNAs, therapy team, kitchen staff, and even the housekeepers...everyone was extremely pleasant & always greeted me every time they seen me. The staff was always eager to assist with anything I needed & really took the time to help. Also, the girls in therapy are the BEST OF THE BEST!!! I would highly recommend Hickory Heights to anyone that may consider putting your loved one in a nursing facility or even just for therapy.
My father has been at Hickory Heights for three weeks now. I am so impressed with the care he is receiving. The two daytime nurses are the best I have seen. I have worked in a health care setting before and these nurses truly care about these patients. I have taken a couple of problems to the administrators and they were handled promptly. The aids seem to work well together as well. The long term residents seem content and happy. The only downside is that it is sad and depressing to have your loved one in a nursing home. This facility is nice for a nursing home but it is a nursing home just the same. I feel they do a good job caring for my dad. He is very hard to deal with and he is tolerating it pretty well.
My grandmother was there and tho physical therapy helped and she said the food was good. The higher ups are rude. We went to visit her and her roommate was wearing her clothes and when confronted they said it wouldn’t happen again but they lost the clothes she had. They also lost her glasses! It has been three weeks and they have still yet to return any of the numerous phone calls or replace her glasses or even give the RX the eye dr gave them. My grandmother has gone three weeks with no glasses unable to see. Also they have yet to return her nurses calls. I would not recommend this place! I will now be contacting an Attorney, the state and BBB. This place is a joke because if they can’t even return a call image how they actually treat patients. Shame on them!
This place is FOR PROFIT, they are horrible, they have my mother trapped and they lie like no other, they dont keep track of the medicine for the patients there, they actually take the pills themselves (the nursing staff), they refuse to do what they said and get my mother on medicad, it doesn't take 8+ months to get it, that way they can take all the money FOR PROFIT! this place will trick you into taking all your loved ones money and give them the bare minimal treatment, if you send your parents there and they have been married since forever they WILL seperate them and not let them see each other, the staff are selfish, untrained, manipulative, and impossible to work with, if I had the money I would hire a lawyer to shut this place down and sue them in a heartbeat. Go ahead and tell them what i have said here, listen to them and put your loved one here, then wait....not for long and you will see what Im talking about. Not only should they be sued the people running it should be in prison. Let my mom spend her own money to leave and come home!!!!!!!
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! IN MY OPINION, HICKORY HEIGHTS IS NOTHING BUT A GLORIFIED NURSING HOME. I HAVE HAD AN UPCLOSE EXPERIENCE IN THIS FACILITY.DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO THE LOSS OF THEIR DIGNITY, THE LOSS OF THEIR SUPPORT WITH FEEDING & BATHING, THE LOSS OF THEIR SUPPORT WITH MEDICATIONS GIVEN IN A TIMELY MANNER, THE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THEIR OWN BODY(HAVING TO LEAVE WITH BEDSORES) HOW MANY BEDSORES IS CONSIDERED TOO MANY? 1 IS TOO DAMN MANY. MY DAD HAD 5 BEDSORES. THANK GOD, DAD PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY,TWO WEEKS AFTER BEING ADMITTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL.LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, WHO LOSES A SENIOR CITIZEN'S DENTURES AND NOT REPORT IT? EXACTLY! TAKE HEED. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT!SHELLYSPEAKS#VICTORYOVERELDERLYABUSE#ALLSENIORCITIZENSLIVESMATTER#REPORTABUSENEGLECTINNURSINGHOMES
Need to train staff better not letting them eat while pissy. I walked in to visit a friend and could not breath due to the smell. They need to bath patients more frequently and someone needs to hold the weekend staff more accountable! They need to do way better being in the Chenal area. I hope someone that cares sees this review and does something about it!
