Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
We do not have a wait list for Assisted Living, but are very close to having one for Memory Care.
Could you share pricing and any other general information?
Our pricing can be found on our website, right where you chatted in to ask these questions.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
Our care staff is made up of a combination of nurses and care partners. We have at least 2 nurses in the building at all times, and several care partners dedicated to each part of the community (assisted living and memory care).
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
There are several topics that could be covered to answer this question, and I'd love to talk about this with you, but one of the most commonly discussed safety measures is our call light system. Residents receive a wearable pendant (and there are additional pull cords in their bathroom and bedroom) where they can call for assistance. These alerts are sent to all on-duty staff members, and cannot be reset or turned off until a staff member comes to the resident to reset it.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Part of our typical sales process is to spend time getting to know the prospective resident - what they did for a living, their hobbies and interests - and this helps us find ways to make them feel more welcome, as well as to introduce them to other residents they may have things in common with.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
We currently have scheduled outings for shopping. We also offer transportation to doctor appointments within a 10 mile radius on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We follow a dietician-created menu program to offer scratch-made meal options to our residents. Each meal time has a featured entree, as well as an always-available menu that is updated regularly based on resident feedback and requests.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
Our Executive Director has an open-door policy to discuss any issues with residents and their families.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We typically employ several methods of communication, including email, phone calls, and Life Loop - based on what the families request as their preferred method.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
Respite stays are typically a minimum of 30 days. The rate for an Assisted Living respite is $195 a day, and a Memory Care respite is $250 a day.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes. There is a pet addendum added to the lease to ensure the safety of the pet and the care staff.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
We do offer seasonal vaccination clinics as needed for our residents and staff.
Are residents able to age in place?
Aging in place is always our goal - we are happy to work with any outside agencies necessary to supplement the care we are able to provide, and will keep an open dialogue with families if something needs to change. We do not have a wait list for Assisted Living, but are very close to having one for Memory Care.
