My father was recently admitted to Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation- Harrodsburg. He was moved from southern Indiana to this area.  The transition went very smoothly. He did not arrive to the facility until 6:15PM. The staff on his unit welcomed him & made sure he was comfortable. The nurses on his unit are very thoughful & kind.  The therapy department is leaps & bounds above any I have ever seen. They have really thought outside the box to care for my father. He is an Alzheimer's patient. Therapy & the activity department have provided him with items to keep him busy & occupied.  The activity department is a shining star.  They have made sure Dad has activities in his room as well as making sure he attends groups.  They have taken the time to introduce him to others and make him feel welcome. Dad is confused but has stated, "This is a nice place."

I am a new employee at Kindred in Harrodsburg.  The welcome I received was almost overwhelming.  All of the employees have been so helpful and supportive of me, from Nurses Aides all the way up to the ED.  The work enviroment is a very good one, and I can't say enough about the team work here.  There are alot of very dedicated and caring employees here at Kindred.  The food is tasty and the housekeeping department is always working hard to keep the facility looking great.I have worked in two other LTC facilties and Kindred Harrodsburg is by far the BEST!!I am very happy to be a part of this team for as long as I am needed.

I only gave this place 1 star so that I could give it a review. Office/Administrative were super great and helpful, some nursing staff were very sweet. However, this is the dirtiest, nastiest place I've ever seen!! Paint chipping all over, nurses leaving dirty gloves, etc on floor, dead bugs(hopefully not live) were behind and under beds and such a noisy place with nurses hanging out and talking so loudly, patients can't sleep!! We couldn't get our loved one out of there fast enough!!! Please, until/unless things change, DO NOT take your loved ones to this place!!

They Killed my mother with Covid 19. The staff had it and gave it to her . Put her in their so called Covid area and 3 days later I was told she was fine and out of there and back on the floor . I was so excited on to talk to my mother who said that was a lie and she said she could barley breathe . I said they told me you had a little sniffle , runny nose and was doing good . Two days later she was sent to the hospital with Covid19 and double phenomena . She died 4 days later after her body wouldn't respond for 2 days. Guardian , my fiancé and myself definitely see the results of neglect . It was delayed and horrifying!! My mother is dead when she should not have been . Nasty room and terrible place
