I rarely write reviews, but my mother has been here and it has been a disaster. They daily screw up her medications. Staff leave her dirty in the bed for hours. I know times are tough finding help, but its simply dangerous to mix up medications. I'm shocked something more serious hasn't happened.
My father was sent for ulcers on December 1 to give him antibiotics. Today 11 I get to see him and I look at my father if he can breathe well, I call the nurse who noticed that his air was very low. and I ask you to call an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital, which at the moment my father is intubated with pneumonia in the intensive care area. the place is poorly hygienic and understaffed for so many patients. If he wants his relative, don't send him to this place. (I went almost daily yesterday he was fine)
The staff is bar none the greatest. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating is the food could be a little better but, it is acceptable especially the ala carte items. And, the furniture could be updated and they need to hire some more housekeepers. Don't get me misunderstood; it is clean, just not 5 stars clean. But, all that is easily overlooked with the wonderful staff! From aides, nurses and, administrators are all 'real' and happy to be there and caring for their residents. 🧡
I am currently receiving therapy here. I have been here for over a month after a bout with covid. The staff here is wonderful. I have been in other facilities in Staunton area that smelled like urine and patients neglected..NOT HERE!! The therapists are skilled ..knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with..they are encouraging ..all staff work as a team..the nurses and other caregivers are pleasant to interact with ..hats off to Charity for being the first at intake and kelly ..dana..amelia..and so many others..
Friendly staff. My Dad has been here a few days, the PT Pat is wonderful, she always updates me on my Dad's progress as soon as I walk in. But if you call and ask for updates about someone you are an inconvenience to them. Judy (on South) can be very rude when you request an update on the health of a family member.
If you love your family member and they need any care at all, this is not the place for you!!! The aides and nurses are caring, they are severely understaffed!! The on call physicians would rather keep a person that is clearly in need of a hospital in the their facility to earn a few dollars!! If I could rate our experience lower, I would!! Do not take the people you love to this facility!!!
