The staff work hard to provide a home like atmosphere for those who reside there. If you ever need a respite stay, looking for a memory care unit I recommend contacting Lindsey she is a pleasure to work with getting your loved one in. One of the best assisted livings in the area.
I have visited this site many times over the last 5 years. I have run many of the Race to the Ledge races that leads me to interact not just with the staff, but many of the residents of Granite Ledges that reside there. I can report that the staff is friendly, caring and supportive and the residents seem very happy there. I can also attest, the food is very yummy!
Granite Ledges provides a safe, supportive environment for the individuals who live there. I have a family member who has been at Granite Ledges for over 4 years and have been incredibly pleased with the care they receive. Staff are friendly, helpful, take time to get to know the residents and truly care for them. They have also provided support to me and my family as we have had to navigate declining health and memory challenges. The building and grounds are lovely. During Covid-19, staff have provided weekly updates on the protocols and supports they have in place. They hosted ZOOM meetings so we can see our loved ones and have now transitioned to in person visits with appropriate safety measures. I highly recommend Granite Ledges to anyone who is looking for a safe supportive environment for an aging family member.
My experience at Granite Ledges has been extremely positive. My sister has disabilities which require extra effort and patience to deal with, and the Granite Ledges staff have gone out of their way to be supportive of her and to treat her with respect and caring. For example, they have encouraged her gardening passion to the extent that her flowers and produce have now been used at the facility. The staff has been, without exception, responsive to my questions and they have really gone the extra mile during this Covid period. And my sister loves the food - not often said about institutional cuisine, but Granite Ledges' is a huge upgrade from her previous facility.
My family member moved to Granite Ledges nearly seven years ago, after living independently in the same house for over 50 years. From the start, the entire staff helped ease a difficult transition, and continue their kindness and caring to this day. There is a tremendous respect for a resident’s desire for independence, despite limitations that may be present. The current pandemic presents a challenge for all long term living facilities, and Granite Ledges has risen to the occasion. Not only have the staff kept those who live there safe and healthy, they have kept family members informed on a regular basis through Zoom calls twice weekly. This long separation has been difficult for residents and family members alike, but the staff has continued to find numerous ways, both large and small, to improve the quality of life over the past five months. Highly, highly recommend.
My mother has been a resident of Granite Ledges in Concord, NH for over 10 years. Our family has been very pleased with the care given to my Mom. The facility and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. More importantly, the staff is top notch and very caring. While there has been the inevitable turnover in personnel over the past ten years, there never seems to be any slip in the services provided to the residents. The food and dining room are also excellent. If you are considering placing a loved one in a long-term care facility, Granite Ledges warrants a serious look.Bob and Elaine Mielcarz
I have a relative that has lived at Granite Ledges for about two years, and the care at this facility has completely exceeded my expectations. My family member acclimated quickly to living at Granite Ledges, and I sleep well at night knowing she's in good hands. During the pandemic (as of July 24, 2020), there were no cases of CV detected in any of the residents. Two staff tested positive for CV but it speaks to the care of this facility that the staff was able to detect these two cases quickly, and protect the remaining staff and all residents from becoming positive for CV or Covid. Staff is very receptive to specific requests that I've made for my family member, and also lets me know when something is needed. We looked at about five facilities within 20 miles of Concord, and Granite Ledges was the best option by far. We've been very pleased and would recommend this facility to anyone seeking a home for a loved family member.
Everyone from reception to nursing to the cooks to the administration is just awful. Rude, unhelpful and will not work with you. The treatment of the residents at this facility is abysmal. I witnessed nurses yelling at dementia clients, the cook refusing to make a separate meal for a resident with dietary restrictions, the administration will "lose" paper work constantly and the planned activities (if you can even call them that word) are laughable. There is no thought for the enrichment of the residents lives. They literally are forced to sit around in a near comatose state because no one takes an interest in their well-being. I would NOT bring my parents here.
