My mother in law lived at Grand Grook Memory Care of Rogers for a little more than 6months. We were happy in the beginning. Then the lies, for instance about the private bath included in original price. Actually a private room with a jack n Jill bath shared with another woman. Mom not happy, so in order to get her a private bath as well, 800 dollars a month more. Then issues with staff. Administrative and lack of general help. Lots of turn over in employees. The food went downhill and every time I visited I had to help someone, choking, can't find the restroom, trying to get out of wheelchairs it goes on and on. Then because mom was one of the more higher functioning patients she was asked to help out with the other people? Patients helping with other patients? Getting her out of there was a big hassle too. 30 days notice and then when that was up well when is she moving? Can you get her out faster? Like there was a line to get in that over priced sh%t hole. Oh how about this family asked to leave on Christmas eve? Nice people there at Grand Brook! Not! I could rant on and on but basically if you care about your elders skip this place entirely.
When we needed to find memory care for mom, we looked at numerous places in Northwest Arkansas. Grand Brook quickly rose to the top of our list. The small size and beautiful, warm interior of the space was remarkable, but more than that, as we visited with the staff, they would comment on nuances and details of their patients, so it became readily apparent that they cared deeply and personally for the loved ones placed in their care. We decided to put our trust in them and placed mom at Grand Brook, and we couldn’t be more happy or thankful for that choice. The staff is wonderful! As we visit mom, all the staff comment on detailed aspects of mom’s daily routines. It is clear that they know her, and care for her individually. Their small size allows this and it is such a blessing! We also regularly receive notes about mom, and pictures of things she’s doing. It is such a joy to be able to trust the staff at Grand Brook with mom’s care. We feel like they are part of our family!
From the minute you walk into Grandbrook Memory Care you feel at home. The personal touches to make the building feel welcoming and homelike make all the difference. Even more importantly, their staff is personable, kind and compassionate. This community is a blessing to NW Arkansas!
My aunt has lived at Grand Brook for 2 years now and I can say that the staff there are very caring and sensitive to her and our family’s needs. The pandemic has been trying to say the least and they have handled it with grace and compassion. They have made every effort to keep things as normal as possible for the residents while keeping them safe during this time. They have continually communicated with families to keep us up to date. I would highly recommend Grand Brook Memory Care.
From the time I first spoke to Colleen Marie Thompson until the time my father left the facility (to move out of state to be closer to family); my whole family experienced excellent communication and superior care for our dad. It was evident that the residents are loved and cared for; and the family is kept abreast of their care and progress. The facility is beautiful, and the staff is excellent. I highly recommend this facility for anyone with aging family members or friends in need of special care.
We brought my mom to Grand Brook from another facility. Bring her to Grand Brook was like a beautiful flower blooming in the spring. We saw an improvement right away. I never expect we would find a place with staff that is so loving and comforting to the residents. I Praise my Lord every day for the staff and my moms continued improvement.
This facility is beautiful and clean. The staff is very professional and the CNA's are angels sent from above. Grand Brook provides the highest quality care you could ever want for your loved one! The management team is outstanding and they all go above and beyond for anyone and everyone. If you need a place for your loved one, this is THE place!
After careful consideration, we placed my Mom here shortly after they opened. We have been super pleased with the care she has been given there. We are well-informed by the staff with any information that we occasionally need concerning her care, any changes, or just with general information. We feel like the workers go above and beyond to bring comfort to my Mom. We are thankful for Grand Brook Memory care of Rogers. The place and the staff members are a blessing to my family.
Grand Brook Memory Care is by far the most caring and well managed assisted livings. From day one Colleen- Sales and Marketing Director made herself available to myself and my family no matter what day or hour. Once we moved my grandmother to Grand Brook the clinical and management team have been dedicated to making my grandmother’s stay very personable. Erica – the Executive Director is super attentive and caring to the family’s concerns and goes out of her way to make sure my grandmothers needs are met. I highly recommend Grand Brook for your family member’s memory care assistance and living.
The staff at Grand Brook supported our family throughout the 11 months that my mom was a resident. Someone from our family visited mom every day during her stay. We witnessed every day the love and care that the staff provided the residents. Any time we had a concern, the staff was willing to listen to us and search to find a solution to our concerns. I feel that their goal was the same as ours. We all wanted mom to be safe and active as possible. They provide numerous activities for the residents every day. We saw the staff love mom and do everything they could do to provide comfort for her. No one wants their parent to have to go to a facility. However, if this happens to you, Grand Brook is the facility where your loved one will be as safe as possible and loved.
Dad has been living in Grand Brook Rogers almost four months. We continue to be impressed with staff friendliness and competence. The facility is fairly new and is kept clean, fresh-smelling, and in good condition. It's the cultural norm to stay personally involved with the limited number of clients and their families which facilitates better care by open sharing of in-depth information regarding client likes, dislikes, and personalities. The recent Alzheimer's Walk, the first in which GBR participated as a team, showcased their adaptability. Every organization that takes on something new has a learning curve and yes, GBR did, too. People at all levels stepped in as needed to solve problems while facilitating client participation, including fresh backup plans, too. Very nicely done by a thoroughly professional organization.
My wife and I cared for my mother for over ten years. Eventually she needed more care than we could give her. Entrusting my mother to Grand Brook of Rogers Arkansas was not an easy decision, but we have never regretted it.My mother has now lived at Grand Brook for 41 weeks. With over 100 visits during different times of the day, I believe I can make this informed review. The facility feels more like a residence than other places do. No nursing-home feel. The tall windows facing the large courtyard provide lots of light. Of all the facilities we visited, it is the best designed. The relatively small number of residents provides a calmer atmosphere. Families enjoy greeting and getting to know each other and the residents. Grand Brook invites families to holiday and special occasion meals.Judy and I like the care strategy at Grand Brook. During the day, residents are encouraged to spend most of their time with other residents in the living room, at special sessions held daily, or like my mother, scooting around in her wheelchair. Residents are encouraged to be interactive as long as possible.I like and appreciate the people working there. The administrators have earned our respect. They work long, hard hours and live out their commitment to doing an excellent job. I could not be prouder of the CNAs. They deal with challenging and less-than-pleasant tasks with grace and patience. Everyone went out of their way to help my mother enjoy her 100th birthday party and to make it special. Cooks prepare thoughtful and varied meals. I have seen the rest of the staff at work and find them to be helpful and professional.Dementia is an awful disease in all its forms and the cost of caring for such residents is frighteningly high. I think Grand Brook Memory Care of Rogers tries to strike a balance between cost and staffing, allowing residents to be as active and independent as possible while providing supervision and protection. I am aware of shortcomings. Still, I do not give Grand Brook a five-star rating because it is perfect, but because I believe it is the best in Northwest Arkansas.
My mom has been at Grand Brook in Rogers for over six months. This is the first time I have ever placed a family member in any type of care beyond the home. The change had to be made for my mom’s safety and well being. On my first visit to take a tour, I was impressed with the layout of the facility, the cleanliness, and the overall beauty of the building. The first person I met was Colleen and she immediately came along side me as I struggled to place my mom. She was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, and kind. The more she talked, the more I knew this was where I wanted my mom to be. All the staff has been incredible. The peace of mind that comes with knowing my mom is being taken care of by people who really care about is priceless. In the beginning, I had so much to learn and called the staff regularly as decisions had to be made. They were never hesitant to support my mom and me as we made this transition. If you are currently looking for a place for your loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s, I would unequivocally and without reservation recommend that Grand Brook should be considered. Everyone on staff is hands on including the manager. They know their people well and are always adapting to the changing needs of their clients.
The whole clean tastefully decorated rooms invite me to relax, enjoy visiting with my husband. Watching the well trained caring caregivers look after Dean’s needs & comfort makes me realize how blessed we are to have this inspired “ Home “ in Rogers AR. Tasty meals , snacks, music, exercise games , special days and Family CELEBRATIONS all contribute to stimulate residence to enjoy each day to the fullness of their ability.
When you have a family member with a memory disease, you have to do things differently. Mom is in the most fabulous memory care facility… We brought the birthday party for dad to mom’s “home”. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff/friends here at Grand Brook Memory Care of Rogers AR. Especially Colleen Marie Thompson. Our lives have been transformed since mom has moved in. It’s not easy, but it’s so much better! I pray that everyone who has a family member going through this finds a facility as wonderful as this!
