My Grandma came here because she decided that it was time for her to no longer live by herself. She absolutely loves this place. She always talks about her friends here. She loves the meals. The staff is so friendly. She loves to talk about all of her experiences while living here. It is a very clean and organized place. Everyone is so supportive and caring.
My Mom has lived at Wilde Ridge for over four years and we've found it to be well suited to her needs. She enjoys the privacy of her own apartment and at the same time welcomes the chance to enjoy meals and companionship with other residents. The manager and staff are wonderful and caring...creating a feeling of "family" for those living there. The facility is clean, well maintained tastefully decorated.
My mom lives at Wilde Ridge Estates. I stayed with her for a few days. During that time, I could see that the residents respected each others' privacy but enjoyed being with each other, which I think is a reflection of a caring staff and a nice place to call home. The staff is well connected in the community. When we needed temporary extra care, they connected us with just the right people. The apartments are roomy with ample kitchen appliances, plenty of windows and a garage (optional). I'm very thankful for a place like Wilde Ridge that provides a flexible amount of assistance.
My mother lives at Wilde Ridge Estates, an independent living apartment complex in Superior, NE. It is a wonderful, caring community. The residents check in on one another and truly care for each other. The Director is kind, loving and supportive. She spends time with them, helps ensure they are communicating with family and staying healthy. It is a perfect place for Seniors who just need a little bit of extra love each day to stay safely living on their own. LOVE IT!!
Nine years ago my mother made the decision to move close by me. There was one place I wanted her and it was Wilde Ridge, and I was so thankful when a room opened up. I had known the manager for many years and she was hard-working, dedicated and trustworthy. It was so nice for my mom to finally be on a one level living space with a handicapped shower and so few worries once she moved there. She not only liked the manager but also the great kitchen staff and housekeeping. She was fully independent but knew there was a meal where they all gathered each noon. As a daughter I always knew if I was out of town that Missy, the manager, was next in line to contact and would be there within minutes. It was reassuring to both my mom and I. She had a great experience at Wilde Ridge all of her eight years there. The additional benefit of having a Nu step to exercise on each day kept her strength and mobility stronger. Wilde Ridge was a very pleasant experience for my mother and for me and my family.
When the time arrived that we needed just a little more help taking care of my mother-in-law, Wilde Ridge was the perfect solution. They are independent living apartments. You were able to come and go as you please. Everything is on one level, no steps. They have a noon meal each day, which is a time of gathering and socialization. Each apartment is equipped with a full kitchen to prepare their other meals and snacks. The rooms are nice sized, and there are some with two bedrooms. The bathrooms are all handicapped accessible, so it is easy if necessary, to use a walker or a wheelchair. This facility has a room for exercise, and there is always a puzzle underway. The dining room is available for family gatherings or other social events. The manager and staff do a wonderful job. Very caring!
I live at Wilde Ridge Estates. We are an independent senior living facility. Our address is 1720 Idaho St., Superior NE 68978. I have lived here since 2011. The apartments are roomy and well maintained. All utilities are included, except telephone and internet. We have a free laundry room and beautiful central dining area where we gather for noon meals and fellowship. We have access to games and events at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home next door. We have a wonderful manager who makes you feel like part of an extended family. Superior is a thriving rural community in south-central Nebraska with full services including a wonderful hospital and family clinic. I relocated here when I retired and have never regretted it.
My experience at Good Sam started out poorly, but I didn't really want to be there! I thought I was too young to be there and I had worked at several nursing homes in my home State of Tennessee that really were terrible!! Good Sam was GREAT!! There were so many people in all of the department's that were so kind and caring!!! The Physical Therapy Department was Awesome! They were so nice and really worked to enable me to reach my personal goal of being out by my birthday!!! Thank you to all of you at Good Sam, and I really miss all of you!!!
Quite possibly one of the worst places I have ever visited in my life. Not a single friendly face in the place. The residents were all but ignored. Any request from family is met with hostility and immediately dismissed. It is soul sucking and everyone looks like they would much rather die than live there another day. I think they treat the roaches better than the seniors they are charging thousands a month. This place should be shut down and the staff should never work in patient care ever again.
