My father was a patient and was very well cared for. His room was cleaned every day. The cleaners were always doing there jobs and cleaning the entire facility. The kitchen helpers were trying to feed my father food to his liking. The activity and devotional directors were helping all the patients. They helped wheel them in the chapel, helped the residents find the pages of the songs, and after devotion helped escort them to the dining room so they could eat. The nurses and cna's helped feed my father and all the other residents that needed help eating. They even hired contract workers so the place would be appropriately staffed. They all worked hard and I did not see one bad employee. Laundry always had his clothes labeled and cleaned. I can't say enough about the good care he received. The hospice staff did a fine job taking care of him until he left us and entered heaven. If anybody needs a care facility I would highly recommend the Good Samaritan Facility in Clear Lake.
I am a CNA for a different town and the rules for privacy are the same throughout. I have seen so many wrong doings from these workers. My great grandma has been staying here for the past 2 and a 1/2 years, her husband hasn’t missed a day with her here and the things he has said they have done and the treatment they put her through is beyond disgusting. She has dimentia so she is different then she used to be and they treat her like she knows nothing and she knows more than they think. I just got done sweeping the room cause it hasn’t been cleaned in so long...I contemplated posting this because I don’t want to write a bad thing about where my family members are staying but this is beyond unexceptable. Very disappointed in this place!
