I live next to this place. On Sunday October 28th, @ 12:05am i could hear a Male nurse(or what ever he is) yelling at one of the gentlemen who live there to "hurry up..... your wasting my time". Hello. Your there to assist him. Not yell at him. I don't recommend this place for a loved one. Nurses are mean.. night shift that is.
As a long-time resident of the Golden Assisted Living facility I have found the food fare here exceptionally superior - not only for a residential setting but any location whose job it is to serve tasty, nourishing food while fulfilling the dietary requirements of state agencies. The culinary staff exceeds daily, the wants and needs of this population. Their dedication to a task which is often criticized by those unaware of the desire and endurance of the cook/chef to please every resident with food they can enjoy reaches the very height of exceptional and extraordinary knowledge of how to provide culinary delights. It is a credit to the administration and proprietorship of the Golden Assisted Living facility that this is the case. I can only add that the clients of this facility, for the most part, seem to unite with me in the expression of admiration, appreciation and respect for this entity which, in large part, makes one's stay here a delight.
Horribly facility my grandmother was staying here for over 10 years and recently had unreported incident which resulted her with a black eye. Then just a few weeks later she was transferred in middle of night without informing us of any such plans. During this transfer she went missing and no one was notified and authorities were never notified. After 3 days of not being able to get ahold of her we called the facility and that's when Monique the facilities manager informed us of her transfer and refused to help us any further. Knowingly she is diabetic and needs daily medication to function. My grandmother is STILL missing!
My brother was a resident at this facility for over a year. I was interviewed by Marilyn who runs the facility. She is a wonderful and understanding person. My brother had Parkinson's disease and we needed a facility that could give him the care that would be needed as the disease progressed. The staff was so understanding and were always there for him. His caregivers were gracious and always helpful. The facility was going though with renovations when he first moved in, but it never interfered with his care. The facility is kept very clean. He liked the meals and had more than enough to eat. The staff always greeted me when I visited. If I had a concern, it was dealt with immediately. My brother could of not had better care. I highly recommend this facility.
If possible I would give 0!!!! Horrible staff, starving patients and worry more about outward appearances. All your money goes towards maintenance and staff pay. Patients are paying the price here. Not just this location but others. The owner does not care about patients but only money. Always seeing patients unattended and out in the streets. Seen a wheelchair bound patient wandering across the street and the nurse yelling for him to come back. He was so out of it that a passerby helped him back. One patient even asked me for money on the street. Very nice but looked hungry. Not sure how to report them but they are horrible there!! If you really love your family DO NOT BEING THEM HERE!!!
