Overview of Professional Staff and Training
We have our Director of Nursing (Andrea Mooney) who is an LPN. We also have CMA’s and CNA’s.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We have a pendant system that reaches the nursing staff as well as the front desk. There are also pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms of each apartment. We also perform wellness checks.
Resources for Transitioning into the Community
We have what we like to call resident Ambassadors, it’s a peer that shows them around the community and helps them adjust to the change.
Transportation Services
Yes, we provide transportation to and from doctor’s appointments on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. We have outings like the casino, New Dinner Theater and museum, just to name a few. Fridays we do shopping, so we go to Hyvee, Walmart, dollar tree and Khols.
Dining Experience
We provide three meals a day for our assistant living. Residents come down to the dining room and fill out a menu and they are served by servers.
Addressing Resident Complaints and Issues
My office is always open for any type of communication, so is our Director Mark’s office. We also have town hall meetings every first Tuesday of the month.
Cost of Living
We don’t have a community fee or a buy in. So it just depends on the size of the apartment.
Communication with Residents' Families
We communicate with families anytime something happens to a resident or if we notice things that may be concerning. But the nurse usually has a great relationship with the family and they are free to communicate with staff at any point.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do have respite care and we have a minimum stay of 3 weeks. It’s roughly around 150.00 a day.
